Penis
In the past ten days, I have noticed a hard object about the size of a mung bean beneath the skin near the glans of my penis.
It appears to be a blood vessel or some other tissue, wrapping around the penis for about half a circle and is not very straight, having a slight curve.
It becomes more noticeable during an erection, and during intercourse or masturbation, I feel a sensation of something catching there, which is not very painful—only a slight, mild discomfort.
I am married and have a single sexual partner.
Please help me understand what condition this might be and how to address it.
Thank you.

Could it be lymphadenopathy? If there is no improvement after some time, please visit a urologist at the hospital.

More Info
It sounds like you are experiencing a concerning issue with your penile health, specifically regarding a hard structure near the glans of your penis. Based on your description, there are several potential causes for this condition, and I will outline them along with recommendations for management.
Possible Causes
1. Peyronie's Disease: This condition involves the development of fibrous scar tissue inside the penis, which can cause curved, painful erections. The hard structure you feel could be a plaque associated with Peyronie's disease. It often presents with a noticeable bend during erection and can cause discomfort during sexual activity.
2. Varicose Veins: Sometimes, veins in the penis can become engorged or varicosed, leading to a hard feeling under the skin. This is usually not harmful but can cause discomfort during erections or sexual activity.
3. Penile Papules or Pearly Penile Papules: These are small, benign growths that can appear on the glans or shaft of the penis. They are usually not painful and are considered a normal anatomical variation.
4. Infection or Inflammation: Conditions such as balanitis (inflammation of the glans) or other infections can lead to swelling and discomfort. If there is any redness, discharge, or significant pain, this could be a sign of an infection.
5. Fibromas or Other Benign Tumors: Occasionally, benign growths can develop in the penile tissue, leading to localized hardness.
Recommendations
1. Consult a Healthcare Provider: The most important step is to consult a urologist or a healthcare provider specializing in men's health. They can perform a physical examination and may recommend imaging studies, such as an ultrasound, to assess the structure and determine the cause.
2. Avoid Sexual Activity: Until you have a clearer understanding of what this hard structure is, it may be wise to avoid sexual activity to prevent any potential injury or exacerbation of the condition.
3. Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any changes in the size or shape of the hard structure, as well as any new symptoms such as increased pain, changes in urination, or any discharge. This information will be helpful for your healthcare provider.
4. Consider Pain Management: If you experience discomfort, over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help alleviate mild pain. However, consult your doctor before taking any medication.
5. Lifestyle Modifications: Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, which can improve overall vascular health. Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, as these can negatively affect blood flow and overall penile health.
6. Follow-Up: Depending on the diagnosis, your healthcare provider may recommend treatments ranging from observation to medications or even surgical options if necessary.
Conclusion
While the hard structure you are experiencing may not be serious, it is essential to seek medical advice to rule out any significant conditions such as Peyronie's disease or infections. Early diagnosis and treatment can lead to better outcomes and prevent complications. Remember, open communication with your healthcare provider about your symptoms and concerns is crucial for effective management.
