Hello, doctor.
I would like to ask you some questions regarding allergies and injections.
My mother had a cold previously and went to a nearby clinic for treatment.
The doctor administered an injection, but shortly after, my mother seemed to have an allergic reaction; her skin immediately developed raised welts, and she was very uncomfortable.
The doctor then gave her another injection of an unknown substance, which alleviated her symptoms significantly.
When we inquired about the situation and whether she was allergic to the previous medication, the doctor vaguely responded that it was related to her individual constitution.
A few days ago, my mother had another cold and visited the same clinic.
She specifically mentioned her previous allergic reaction to the doctor before receiving another injection.
However, after the injection, she again experienced an allergic reaction, with her lips swelling and becoming hot.
As per usual, the doctor administered another large injection.
When we asked the doctor which medication or substance she was allergic to, the doctor refused to provide that information.
We believe we have the right to know, don’t we?
Could you please advise on how to handle such situations? 1.
If someone knows they are allergic to certain medications but cannot identify which ones, is there a better method to determine this? 2.
