Penile injury
Due to the forceful downward pressure during morning erections, I experienced a sound similar to a skeletal misalignment.
My penis severely deviates to the left during erection.
After applying pressure, there was again a sound resembling skeletal misalignment, and although the deviation during erection is not significant (less than 30 degrees), when there is no erection or firmness, everything appears normal.
However, upon achieving an erection, there is a sensation of tightness on one side and relaxation on the other side at the base of the penis (where it connects to the scrotum), which feels similar to a bone fracture.
It feels as if one side is being pulled tight while the other side is relaxed, creating a sensation of disconnection.
Everything else seems normal, and this has been ongoing for several years without worsening.
I would like a doctor to clarify this for me.
How should I face this situation? I am not yet married, and it weighs heavily on my mind.

It's indeed a bit strange! Please hurry to the hospital and consult a urologist for an examination.

Understanding penile injury, especially in the context of the symptoms you are experiencing, is crucial for both physical and psychological well-being. Penile injuries can arise from various causes, including trauma, excessive force during sexual activity, or even repetitive strain. In your case, the description of a "bone-like" sound during erection and the sensation of misalignment or tension in the penile structure suggests that there may be underlying issues related to the connective tissues or the erectile mechanisms.
Causes of Penile Injury
1. Trauma: Direct trauma to the penis, such as from vigorous sexual activity or accidental injury, can lead to conditions like penile fracture, which is a rupture of the tunica albuginea, the fibrous sheath surrounding the erectile tissues. This can cause immediate pain, swelling, and a characteristic "popping" sound.
2. Repetitive Strain: Engaging in activities that put repetitive stress on the penis can lead to micro-tears in the connective tissues. Over time, this may result in conditions like Peyronie's disease, characterized by the development of fibrous scar tissue that can cause curvature during erection.
3. Erectile Dysfunction: The sensation of misalignment or the feeling of one side being tighter than the other during an erection may indicate issues with blood flow or nerve function. Conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or hormonal imbalances can contribute to erectile dysfunction, which may exacerbate the feeling of instability in the erection.
Symptoms to Monitor
- Pain or Discomfort: Persistent pain during erection or ejaculation should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
- Curvature: While some curvature is normal, significant changes or discomfort during erection should be assessed.
- Changes in Erection Quality: Difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, or changes in the firmness of the erection, can indicate underlying issues that need to be addressed.
Solutions and Management
1. Medical Evaluation: It is essential to consult a urologist who can perform a thorough examination, including a physical assessment and possibly imaging studies like an ultrasound. This will help determine if there is any structural damage or underlying condition that needs treatment.
2. Physical Therapy: In some cases, pelvic floor physical therapy can help strengthen the muscles involved in erection and improve overall function.
3. Medication: If erectile dysfunction is diagnosed, medications such as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (e.g., Viagra, Cialis) may be prescribed to improve blood flow and enhance erectile function.
4. Surgery: In cases of significant structural damage or severe Peyronie's disease, surgical options may be considered to correct curvature or repair any damaged tissues.
5. Psychological Support: Given the emotional toll that concerns about sexual health can take, speaking with a therapist or counselor specializing in sexual health can be beneficial. They can help address anxiety or stress related to sexual performance and relationships.
Lifestyle Considerations
- Healthy Lifestyle: Maintaining a healthy diet, regular exercise, and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol can improve overall vascular health, which is crucial for erectile function.
- Open Communication: If you are in a relationship, discussing your concerns with your partner can alleviate anxiety and foster understanding.
In conclusion, while your symptoms may be concerning, many potential solutions exist. Seeking professional medical advice is the best course of action to ensure that any underlying issues are addressed appropriately. Remember, you are not alone in this, and many men experience similar concerns. Taking proactive steps can lead to improved health and peace of mind.
