A small bump on the foreskin?

There are small white bumps on the foreskin, approximately 0.1 cm in size, located beneath the hair.
They resemble chicken skin.
Additionally, there are six yellowish bumps protruding on the inner side of the glans.
They are painless, have not changed, and this has been the case for over a year.
Is this normal? Should I see a doctor?

When it comes to white bumps on the foreskin, it’s important to understand that there can be a variety of causes, some of which are completely normal and benign, while others may require medical attention. Based on your description, it seems like you are observing small white bumps on the foreskin and some yellowish bumps on the inner side of the glans (the head of the penis).
Firstly, it’s essential to recognize that the skin of the genital area can have various natural variations. For instance, small white bumps can often be sebaceous cysts or pearly penile papules, which are harmless and common anatomical variations. Pearly penile papules are small, dome-shaped bumps that typically appear around the corona of the glans and are completely normal. They are not associated with any disease and do not require treatment.

However, the presence of yellowish bumps could indicate a different condition. If these bumps are not painful, do not itch, and have not changed in size or appearance over the course of a year, they may still be benign. Conditions such as Fordyce spots (small, painless, pale bumps that are sebaceous glands) or other benign skin conditions can present similarly.
That said, there are certain signs and symptoms that warrant a visit to a healthcare provider. You should seek medical advice if:
1. The bumps change in size, shape, or color.

2. You experience any pain, itching, or discomfort.

3. There is any discharge from the bumps or the foreskin.

4. You notice any other unusual symptoms, such as swelling or redness in the surrounding area.

5. You have concerns about sexually transmitted infections (STIs), especially if you have had unprotected sexual contact.

A healthcare provider, such as a urologist or dermatologist, can perform a physical examination and may recommend further tests if necessary. They can help differentiate between normal anatomical variations and potential pathological conditions.

In conclusion, while many white bumps on the foreskin can be normal, it is always best to err on the side of caution. If you have any doubts or if the bumps change in any way, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. Regular check-ups and open communication with your doctor about any concerns regarding your genital health are crucial for maintaining overall well-being.
