Hello Peter, poor vision, floaters, or weakness in the limbs can actually have many possible causes.
If these symptoms occur after exercising or walking a certain distance, several issues should be considered: 1.
Is there any abnormality in heart function? 2.
Is there any dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system? 3.
Are there any narrowings in the blood vessels that supply blood to the brain, such as the carotid or vertebral arteries, which could be causing issues with blood flow to the brain and eyes? It is advisable to seek professional examination and consultation at a hospital.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns regarding blurred vision and feelings of weakness after walking or exercising. These symptoms can be quite distressing, and it's important to understand the potential underlying causes.

Blurred vision after physical activity can be attributed to several factors. One common reason is a temporary drop in blood pressure, known as orthostatic hypotension. This can occur when you stand up or engage in physical activity, leading to insufficient blood flow to the brain and eyes, resulting in blurred vision and feelings of lightheadedness or weakness. If you have been dehydrated or have not eaten adequately before exercising, this can exacerbate the situation.

Another possibility is related to your eye health. Conditions such as retinal detachment, vitreous detachment, or even migraines can cause visual disturbances, including blurred vision. If you have a history of eye issues, such as high myopia or previous eye surgeries, these could also contribute to your symptoms. It's essential to have a thorough eye examination to rule out any serious conditions.

Additionally, systemic issues such as anemia, low blood sugar, or cardiovascular problems can lead to weakness and visual disturbances. If your body is not getting enough oxygen or nutrients during physical exertion, you may experience these symptoms. It's crucial to monitor your overall health, including your diet and hydration levels, especially before engaging in physical activities.

The sensation of floating or weakness in your limbs could also be related to neurological issues. Conditions affecting the nervous system, such as multiple sclerosis or transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), can present with these symptoms. However, these are less common and would typically be accompanied by other signs.

Given the complexity of your symptoms, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional who can perform a comprehensive evaluation. This may include blood tests to check for anemia or blood sugar levels, an eye examination to assess your vision and eye health, and possibly imaging studies if neurological issues are suspected.

In the meantime, consider the following recommendations:
1. Stay Hydrated: Ensure you are drinking enough water before and after physical activity.

2. Balanced Diet: Eat a well-balanced diet that includes adequate carbohydrates, proteins, and healthy fats to maintain energy levels.

3. Gradual Movements: When transitioning from sitting or lying down to standing, do so slowly to prevent sudden drops in blood pressure.

4. Monitor Symptoms: Keep a diary of your symptoms, noting when they occur, their duration, and any associated activities. This information can be valuable for your healthcare provider.

In conclusion, while your symptoms may be benign, they warrant further investigation to rule out any serious underlying conditions. Please do not hesitate to seek medical attention to ensure your health and well-being.
Take care, and I hope you find relief from your symptoms soon.
