Recent concerns about frequent urination and some urinary system issues?

Hello Doctor, for the past week, I have been experiencing a constant urge to urinate.
After I go, I still feel the need to go again.
Sometimes I urinate a lot, and other times just a few drops, or I find myself unable to urinate while standing at the toilet.
There is no pain during urination, and I don't have to exert extra effort.
The flow of urine is the same as before, and I don't have a habit of holding it in.
However, this symptom has persisted for the past week.
Last Sunday, I went for a jog of about 2600 meters, and afterward, I experienced pain in the lower left side of my back and waist.
The next day, I started having this frequent urge to urinate, so I'm not sure if this is related or if it could be due to urethritis, or perhaps issues with benign prostatic hyperplasia or prostatitis.
Should I seek medical attention, or would drinking more water suffice? Does masturbation cause frequent urination or prostate-related issues? Additionally, I have phimosis that has led to glans inflammation, and I have visited a major hospital where the doctor prescribed me a topical cream called "Lidocaine V." Should I apply it directly to the glans? Sometimes after masturbation, my testicles feel hard, and at other times, they can be a bit painful.
Is this normal? I apologize for asking so many questions at once; thank you for your help.

Hello, frequent urination may be caused by infections, stones, or other factors, and further examination and treatment are needed.
Masturbation can lead to frequent urination, but it rarely causes prostatitis.
If you have any concerns, it is advisable to seek medical attention.
The use of ointments refers to applying them to the inflamed area.
After masturbation, the testicles may retract due to nerve stimulation; as for hardness and pain, it could be normal, but further examination may be necessary to determine the cause.
It is recommended to maintain a regular lifestyle and exercise for at least 30 minutes daily; these symptoms should gradually improve.
If there are any unclear points, feel free to ask again for further discussion and research.
Online responses should only be used as a reference; if necessary, it is essential to visit a medical facility.

Frequent urination can be a distressing symptom that may arise from various underlying causes. In your case, the sudden onset of frequent urination, coupled with discomfort in the lower back and left side, raises several possibilities that warrant further exploration.

Firstly, it’s important to consider the potential relationship between your recent physical activity, specifically the 2600-meter run, and the symptoms you are experiencing. Strenuous exercise can sometimes lead to dehydration, which may paradoxically cause increased urination as the body attempts to regulate fluid balance. Additionally, if you experienced any strain or injury during your run, it could potentially lead to referred pain in the lower back, which might be affecting your urinary function.

The absence of pain during urination and the normal flow of urine suggest that a urinary tract infection (UTI) may be less likely. However, it is still possible to have a UTI without the classic symptoms of pain or urgency. Other conditions, such as bladder overactivity or even prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate), could also be contributing to your symptoms. Given your history of phimosis and the associated inflammation, it’s wise to consider that any irritation in the genital area could also influence urinary frequency.

Regarding your question about whether to seek medical attention, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional, especially since your symptoms have persisted for a week. A thorough evaluation, including a urinalysis and possibly imaging studies, can help rule out any serious conditions such as kidney stones or infections. If prostatitis is suspected, a digital rectal exam may be warranted to assess the prostate's condition.

As for your concerns about masturbation and its potential effects on urinary frequency or prostate health, current medical literature does not support the notion that masturbation causes frequent urination or leads to prostate diseases. However, if you experience discomfort or pain in the testicles after masturbation, it may be worth discussing with a healthcare provider, as this could indicate a separate issue, such as epididymitis or testicular torsion, which requires prompt evaluation.

Regarding the use of the medication you mentioned (臨得隆V), it is typically applied topically to the affected area. Ensure that you follow your healthcare provider's instructions on how to use it properly. If you have concerns about the application or if the inflammation persists, it’s best to consult your doctor for further guidance.

In summary, while frequent urination can stem from various causes, it is essential to seek medical advice to determine the underlying issue and receive appropriate treatment. Pay attention to any additional symptoms, such as pain, changes in urine color, or fever, as these may indicate a more serious condition that requires immediate attention. Your health and well-being are paramount, and addressing these symptoms early can help prevent further complications.
