There is an unusual growth in the middle of the foreskin?
I have a round, red bump on the outer side of my penis foreskin, which has a whitish appearance inside and is about the size of a grain of rice.
It hurts when I press on it, but nothing comes out.
I have not engaged in sexual intercourse.
What could this be, and how should I handle it? Additionally, I can retract my foreskin, but my urine often splits; does that indicate phimosis?

What you might be referring to is smegma, but please consult a urologist for an examination to address your concerns.

Understanding unusual growths on the penis can be concerning, and it’s important to approach this topic with care and knowledge. Based on your description of a round, red growth on the outer side of the foreskin that is painful to the touch and contains a white substance, there are several potential causes to consider.
One possibility is that this growth could be a sebaceous cyst, which is a common benign condition. Sebaceous cysts occur when sebaceous glands become blocked, leading to the accumulation of sebum (an oily substance). They can appear as small, round lumps under the skin and may be tender or painful, especially if they become inflamed or infected. The white substance you see inside could be the sebum that has built up within the cyst.
Another possibility is a condition known as a pearly penile papule, which are small, harmless bumps that can appear around the corona of the glans (the head of the penis). These are normal anatomical variations and do not require treatment unless they cause discomfort or concern.
However, given that you mentioned the growth is painful and that you have not engaged in sexual activity, it is also important to consider other conditions such as a genital wart, which is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), or a possible infection. Genital warts can appear as small, flesh-colored or red bumps and can be painful or itchy.
In terms of treatment, it is crucial to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis. A doctor can perform a physical examination and may recommend further tests, such as a biopsy, if there is any suspicion of a more serious condition. Treatment options will depend on the diagnosis; for instance, sebaceous cysts may resolve on their own or may require drainage, while genital warts can be treated with topical medications or procedures to remove them.
Regarding your question about the foreskin and whether it is too long, the ability to retract the foreskin is important for hygiene and health. If you can pull the foreskin back but experience splitting of the urine stream, it may not necessarily indicate that you have a condition known as phimosis (where the foreskin cannot be retracted). However, if you experience pain, difficulty retracting the foreskin, or recurrent infections, it would be advisable to consult a urologist. They can assess whether your foreskin is of normal length and functioning properly.
In summary, while there are several benign explanations for the growth you described, it is essential to seek medical advice for a proper evaluation. Early diagnosis and treatment can help alleviate any discomfort and address any underlying issues effectively. Remember, maintaining good genital hygiene and monitoring any changes in your body are key to your overall health.
