Is the likelihood of pregnancy high if a condom is worn inside out and then turned back to the correct side?

I had sexual intercourse with my partner previously.
At first, he performed oral sex on me and then put on a condom.
However, since I had my eyes closed, I didn't see that he put it on inside out.
I only noticed that he had some difficulty putting it on at first, and it was only partially on.
After that, he correctly put the condom on, and we proceeded with intercourse.
Now, her period is a bit delayed, about two to three days later than usual.
Although her cycle is not very regular, I am still a bit worried.
Is it possible that she could be pregnant?

There is a slight possibility of pregnancy.
If there was a small amount of sperm released during the first use, and then the condom was put on incorrectly, those few sperm could potentially enter the vagina.
Although the sperm count is low, there is still a chance of pregnancy, but the likelihood is very low.
You may consider taking a pregnancy test to confirm the result.

When it comes to the question of whether wearing a condom inside out can increase the risk of pregnancy, the answer is nuanced and requires an understanding of how condoms function and the factors that contribute to pregnancy risk.

First, let's clarify how condoms work. Condoms are designed to create a barrier that prevents sperm from entering the vagina and reaching the egg. If a condom is worn correctly, it is highly effective in preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). However, if a condom is put on inside out, it may not function as intended.
In your situation, you mentioned that your partner initially had difficulty putting the condom on and that it was only partially inserted before being turned around and correctly applied. If the condom was worn inside out initially, there are a couple of considerations:
1. Pre-ejaculate Fluid: Even if the condom was only partially on, pre-ejaculate fluid (pre-cum) can still be released. This fluid can contain sperm, and if it comes into contact with the vaginal area, there is a potential risk of pregnancy, albeit low if the condom was eventually put on correctly.

2. Condom Integrity: If the condom was worn inside out, there is a possibility that it could have been compromised. If the condom was rolled back and forth, it might have picked up vaginal fluids or other contaminants, which could affect its effectiveness. However, if the condom was then correctly applied and used for intercourse, it would still provide a barrier against sperm.

3. Timing of Ovulation: The timing of your partner's menstrual cycle is also crucial. If her ovulation period was not near the time of intercourse, the likelihood of pregnancy decreases significantly. Sperm can live inside the female reproductive tract for up to five days, but if ovulation is not occurring, the chances of conception are low.

4. Menstrual Cycle Variability: You mentioned that her period is a few days late. While this can be a cause for concern, menstrual cycles can vary due to numerous factors, including stress, hormonal changes, and other health-related issues. A late period does not automatically indicate pregnancy, especially if her cycles are irregular.

In summary, while wearing a condom inside out can potentially increase the risk of pregnancy due to the factors mentioned above, the actual risk in your case would depend on several variables, including whether any sperm came into contact with the vaginal area before the condom was correctly applied, the timing of ovulation, and the overall health of your partner's menstrual cycle.

If there is significant concern about the possibility of pregnancy, it would be advisable for your partner to take a home pregnancy test after a missed period or consult with a healthcare provider for further evaluation. Additionally, if you are sexually active, consider discussing more reliable contraceptive methods to reduce anxiety and enhance protection against unintended pregnancies in the future.
