Please help me, doctor?

Hello, doctor.
I am a patient with psoriasis, and recently I have noticed localized redness and swelling on my face and scalp, which is itchy and seems to be spreading.
Additionally, the glans of my penis has started to develop sores.
Initially, I experienced a sharp pain during urination, but that has subsided.
However, the sores continue to spread, and I now have 8 to 9 wounds.
I would like to ask the doctor if this is a complication and if it indicates that my condition is worsening?

Niming, 20~29 year old female. Ask Date: 2015/11/22

Dear readers,
1.
Regarding the statement: "I am a patient with PAS (presumably referring to a specific condition), and recently I have developed localized redness and swelling on my face and scalp, which is itchy and seems to be spreading.
Additionally, the glans of my penis has started to develop skin lesions.
Initially, urination was painful, but now it is not; however, the lesions continue to spread, and I currently have 8-9 wounds.
I would like to ask the doctor if this is a complication? Does this mean my end is near?" The explanation is as follows:
(1) For the scalp: It is important to check for bacterial, fungal, or scabies infections.

(2) For the glans: In addition to urethritis, we should consider the possibility of other sexually transmitted infections.
2.
As for the question of whether this means my end is near: Do not give up too soon.
It is recommended to visit a nearby hospital that can perform tests to monitor immune function and viral load, and to assess medication adherence.
Thank you!

Hello, thank you for your question. It sounds like you are experiencing some concerning symptoms, and I want to address your concerns regarding your condition and the potential complications you may be facing.

Based on your description, the localized redness and swelling on your face and scalp, along with the itching and spreading nature of these symptoms, could indicate a dermatological issue. Given your history as a patient with past medical conditions, it is essential to consider that these symptoms may be related to an underlying condition or a complication stemming from your existing health issues.

The lesions on your genital area, particularly the broken skin and initial pain during urination, are also significant. These symptoms could suggest a few possibilities, including an infection, dermatitis, or even a more systemic issue that may be linked to your past medical history. It is crucial to recognize that while these symptoms can be alarming, they do not necessarily indicate that your condition is terminal. However, they do warrant immediate medical attention.

Complications in patients with a history of chronic illness can manifest in various ways, and it is not uncommon for new symptoms to arise as the body responds to ongoing health challenges. The fact that you are experiencing multiple areas of broken skin and discomfort suggests that there may be an inflammatory or infectious process at play. Conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, or even a fungal infection could present in this manner, especially if you have a compromised immune system or other underlying health issues.

It is essential to consult with a healthcare professional who can perform a thorough examination and possibly conduct tests to determine the exact cause of your symptoms. They may recommend treatments such as topical medications, systemic therapies, or even referrals to specialists, depending on the findings.
In terms of your concern about the severity of your condition, it is important to remember that many patients with chronic illnesses experience fluctuations in their health status. While it is natural to feel anxious about new symptoms, many conditions can be managed effectively with appropriate medical intervention.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious about your health, it may also be beneficial to speak with a mental health professional. Chronic illness can take a toll on mental well-being, and having support can help you navigate these challenging times.

In summary, while your symptoms are concerning and could indicate complications, they do not automatically signify a dire prognosis. It is crucial to seek medical attention promptly to address your symptoms and receive appropriate care. Your healthcare provider will be able to give you a clearer picture of your situation and guide you on the best course of action. Please take care of yourself, and do not hesitate to reach out for help.
