Erection angle issue?
When I have an erection, it is nearly vertical and forms an L-shape, with an angle of about 140 to 150 degrees when viewed from the side.
The length of the erection is 17 cm, and it is sufficiently firm.
However, due to the foreskin covering it, only half of the glans is exposed.
I have no issues with masturbation or intercourse, but I am dissatisfied with the downward angle of the erection, as it feels abnormal.
I wonder if this issue can be resolved.

When it comes to concerns about the angle of erection in men, it's important to understand that variations in penile angle during erection are quite common and can be influenced by several factors, including anatomy, the presence of any underlying medical conditions, and even psychological factors.
From your description, it seems that your erection angle is approximately 140 to 150 degrees, which is indeed on the lower side, as many men experience a more upward angle. However, it is crucial to note that there is a wide range of what is considered "normal" when it comes to erection angles. Some men may have a more pronounced upward angle, while others may have a downward or horizontal angle. The key factor is whether this angle affects your sexual function or causes you discomfort.
The fact that you are able to achieve an erection of 17 cm in length and that you have no issues with masturbation or intercourse suggests that your erectile function is intact. This is a positive sign, as it indicates that the blood flow and nerve function necessary for erections are working properly.
However, if you are feeling dissatisfied or concerned about the angle of your erection, there are a few potential avenues to explore:
1. Consult a Urologist: If you have ongoing concerns about the angle of your erection, it may be beneficial to consult a urologist. They can perform a physical examination and may conduct tests to rule out any underlying conditions, such as Peyronie's disease, which can cause abnormal curvature of the penis due to scar tissue.
2. Psychological Factors: Sometimes, anxiety or self-consciousness about one's body can affect sexual performance and satisfaction. If you find that your concerns about the angle of your erection are leading to anxiety or affecting your sexual experiences, it may be helpful to speak with a mental health professional who specializes in sexual health. They can help you work through any psychological barriers and improve your confidence.
3. Sexual Positioning: Experimenting with different sexual positions may also help you find what feels best for you and your partner. Certain positions may allow for better angles and enhance pleasure, regardless of the angle of your erection.
4. Communication with Partner: If you are in a sexual relationship, open communication with your partner about your concerns can also be beneficial. Discussing preferences and exploring what feels good for both of you can enhance intimacy and reduce anxiety.
5. Surgical Options: In rare cases, if the angle of erection is causing significant distress or functional issues, surgical options may be available. However, this is typically considered only after thorough evaluation and discussion with a qualified urologist.
In conclusion, while the angle of your erection may not align with what you perceive as "normal," it is essential to remember that variations exist, and many men experience similar concerns. If your sexual function is not impaired and you are able to engage in sexual activities without pain or discomfort, it may be more about personal perception than a medical issue. Seeking professional advice can provide clarity and reassurance, helping you to feel more comfortable with your body and sexual health.
