Shortness of breath
Hello doctor, recently I've suddenly experienced chest tightness and difficulty breathing, feeling like air is trapped in the middle of my chest.
One morning, I woke up with severe pain in the back of my neck, and since then, I've had this chest tightness and discomfort.
I'm not sure if it's caused by my sleeping position.
I consulted a cardiologist, and my electrocardiogram (ECG) was normal.
They recommended that I undergo an echocardiogram and a stress test.
However, a friend mentioned that if the ECG is normal, it shouldn't be a heart issue.
Is that true? Should I consider seeing a pulmonologist? I've been taking a lot of sick leave because of this condition, and it's really distressing.
Please help me.
