Am I pregnant?

My menstrual cycle is usually around 24 to 25 days.
My last period started on February 25, and I had unprotected intercourse with my boyfriend on March 19.
My period was still absent by March 26, so I went to the gynecologist, where a pregnancy test showed one line, but the ultrasound indicated that my endometrium was thickening.
From March 26 to April 3, I continued to test for pregnancy, but only one line appeared.
During these days, I experienced nausea and cravings for sour and sweet foods.
I noticed prominent blue veins in my breasts, and I have cramping sensations in my abdomen similar to menstrual cramps.
Sometimes, I feel dizzy, and my discharge is clear.

Hello, the early stages of pregnancy may not present specific symptoms, and subjective symptoms alone cannot be used to determine pregnancy.
It is recommended to check for pregnancy if your period is more than a week late.
Thank you! Wishing you peace and health.

More Info

Based on the information you've provided, it seems you're experiencing a range of symptoms that could be indicative of pregnancy, but the results from your pregnancy tests have been negative. Let's break down your situation and provide some clarity.

1. Understanding Pregnancy Tests: Pregnancy tests work by detecting the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your urine. This hormone is produced shortly after a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. If your test shows only one line, it typically indicates that you are not pregnant. However, if you see a faint line, it could suggest that you are in the early stages of pregnancy, but it’s essential to confirm this with a healthcare professional. False negatives can occur, especially if the test is taken too early or if the urine is diluted.

2. Symptoms of Early Pregnancy: The symptoms you mentioned—nausea (feeling like you want to vomit), cravings for sour or sweet foods, visible veins in your breasts, abdominal cramping, and dizziness—are commonly associated with early pregnancy. However, these symptoms can also be attributed to other factors, such as hormonal changes in your menstrual cycle or stress.

3. Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation: Given that your menstrual cycle is typically around 24-25 days, ovulation likely occurs around the middle of your cycle. If you had unprotected intercourse on March 19, and your period was expected around March 25, it is possible that you could be experiencing symptoms related to either early pregnancy or premenstrual syndrome (PMS). The thickening of the uterine lining observed in the ultrasound could also indicate that your body is preparing for a potential pregnancy.

4. Timing of Testing: Since you mentioned that you have been testing from March 26 to April 3 and have consistently received negative results, it may be beneficial to wait a few days and test again. Sometimes, it takes time for hCG levels to rise enough to be detected in urine, especially if you tested too early.

5. When to Seek Medical Advice: If your period does not arrive and you continue to experience symptoms, it would be wise to consult with a healthcare provider. They can perform a blood test, which is more sensitive than a urine test and can detect lower levels of hCG. Additionally, they can perform an ultrasound to check for any abnormalities or confirm a pregnancy.

6. Other Considerations: Stress, changes in diet, and other lifestyle factors can also affect your menstrual cycle and cause symptoms similar to those of pregnancy. If you are feeling anxious about the possibility of being pregnant, it may help to talk to someone about your concerns.

In conclusion, while your symptoms may suggest pregnancy, the negative test results indicate otherwise. It is essential to monitor your body and consult with a healthcare professional for a definitive answer. They can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation and help you understand what steps to take next. Remember, early pregnancy symptoms can be similar to premenstrual symptoms, and the best way to confirm pregnancy is through proper testing and medical evaluation.
