Sweating
Hello, I have a question.
I have a habit of masturbation.
I have noticed that within 15 seconds after ejaculation, I feel a warmth in my body and start to sweat.
My masturbation technique is very gentle, so I am sure it is not a reaction from vigorous activity.
This phenomenon has been occurring for over a year.
I wonder if this is a symptom of high blood pressure? How should I get it checked? Should I see a urologist?

Masturbation is a normal physiological need and a form of release, which is not surprising when practiced within reasonable limits.
However, if the frequency becomes excessive, or if uncomfortable physical symptoms occur after masturbation, it serves as a warning sign to reduce or stop the activity.
This is similar to the need for moderation in normal sexual behavior.
It is recommended that you temporarily cease masturbation for a period of time and observe any changes.
If there is improvement, that is good; if symptoms such as sweating persist, you should consult an internist or a family medicine physician to identify the underlying cause.
Tainan City Hospital wishes you health and happiness.

More Info
Post-ejaculation sweating, often referred to as "post-orgasmic sweating," is a phenomenon that some individuals experience after ejaculation. This sweating can occur regardless of the intensity of the sexual activity, including masturbation. It's important to understand that this reaction is generally not a cause for concern and is often a normal physiological response.
When you ejaculate, your body undergoes a series of hormonal and physiological changes. The release of hormones such as oxytocin and prolactin can lead to feelings of relaxation and warmth, which may trigger sweating. Additionally, the autonomic nervous system, which controls involuntary bodily functions, can become activated during sexual arousal and orgasm, leading to increased heart rate and perspiration.
Regarding your concern about high blood pressure, while sweating can be associated with various health conditions, it is not a definitive indicator of hypertension. High blood pressure typically does not manifest through sweating alone. Common symptoms of high blood pressure can include headaches, dizziness, and shortness of breath, but many individuals may not experience any symptoms at all. If you are concerned about your blood pressure, it would be wise to monitor it regularly. You can do this at home with a blood pressure monitor or by visiting a healthcare provider.
If you are experiencing other symptoms alongside post-ejaculation sweating, such as persistent headaches, unusual fatigue, or any other concerning signs, it would be advisable to consult a healthcare professional. A urologist may be a good starting point, especially if you have questions about sexual health or related concerns. However, if your primary concern is about blood pressure or cardiovascular health, a visit to a primary care physician or cardiologist may be more appropriate.
In terms of self-care, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help manage blood pressure and overall health. This includes regular exercise, a balanced diet low in sodium, and managing stress levels. If you find that the sweating is bothersome or accompanied by other symptoms, discussing these with a healthcare provider can help determine if further evaluation or treatment is necessary.
In summary, post-ejaculation sweating is generally a normal response and not typically a health concern. However, if you have specific worries about high blood pressure or other health issues, consulting with a healthcare professional is the best course of action. Regular monitoring and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can also contribute positively to your overall well-being.
