There are granules on the scrotum that are itchy?
There are granules on the surface of the testicles that are not white but are close to my skin color, resembling bumps.
They itch after ejaculation (even when touched), and scratching them still causes itching.
Usually, there are no special sensations.
Is this normal, or could it be a skin condition? Thank you, doctor.

Without actually seeing the lesion, it is impossible to make a definitive diagnosis.
If you are very concerned, please seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Itchy skin bumps on the scrotum can be concerning, and understanding their potential causes and treatments is essential for proper management. The bumps you describe, which are skin-colored and resemble small nodules, could be attributed to several benign conditions, but they may also indicate a need for further evaluation.
One common cause of such bumps is sebaceous cysts (also known as epidermoid cysts), which are small, non-cancerous lumps that can occur when sebaceous glands become blocked. These cysts are typically painless unless they become inflamed or infected. If the cysts are not causing significant discomfort or other symptoms, they may not require treatment. However, if they become painful, inflamed, or infected, surgical removal may be necessary.
Another possibility is folliculitis, which is the inflammation of hair follicles. This condition can lead to small, red, itchy bumps that may resemble acne. Folliculitis can be caused by bacterial infections, fungal infections, or irritation from shaving. Treatment often involves topical antibiotics or antifungal medications, depending on the underlying cause.
Pearly penile papules are another benign condition that can occur on the scrotum or penis. These small, skin-colored bumps are normal anatomical variations and are not associated with any disease or infection. They are harmless and do not require treatment.
Contact dermatitis could also be a factor, especially if you have recently changed soaps, detergents, or personal care products. This condition can cause itchy, red bumps and is a reaction to irritants or allergens. Treatment typically involves avoiding the irritant and using topical corticosteroids to reduce inflammation.
In some cases, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as herpes or molluscum contagiosum can present with bumps or lesions in the genital area. If you have had unprotected sexual contact or if the bumps are accompanied by other symptoms (such as pain, discharge, or systemic symptoms), it is crucial to seek medical evaluation for appropriate testing and treatment.
To address your specific concerns about itching after ejaculation, this could be related to irritation or sensitivity in the area. It is important to maintain good hygiene and avoid any potential irritants. If the itching persists or worsens, or if you notice any changes in the appearance of the bumps, it is advisable to consult a healthcare provider for a thorough examination and appropriate management.
In summary, while many causes of itchy skin bumps on the scrotum are benign, it is essential to monitor the symptoms and seek medical advice if there are any concerns. A healthcare provider can perform a physical examination, possibly conduct tests, and provide a definitive diagnosis and treatment plan tailored to your specific situation. Remember, self-diagnosis can be misleading, and professional guidance is always recommended for skin issues, especially in sensitive areas.
