Erection angle issue!!
I have a question, doctor.
My erections are firm and I can perform without any issues! However, the only problem is that when I am erect, it points completely downward and I can't lift it up.
Once I relax, it goes back down! Even when I lie flat on the bed, it moves side to side and flops around instead of staying fixed in an erect position.
I have compared myself with my best friend; when he is erect, it points upward, and when he moves it with his hand, it returns to a fixed position after he lets go.
My erection angle is completely similar to when I am not erect, and my friend finds it strange! He asked me if I have any issues during intercourse, and since I don’t, he thinks there’s no problem.
However, he mentioned that it might be due to the shape, being thicker at the base and thinner at the tip.
I know that the angles in adult films are different, but I have never seen anyone with a similar issue.
I have been curious about this for a long time but am hesitant to go to the hospital because it feels strange! I also don’t remember my erection angle from childhood or if I have ever been injured.
Since I can remember, it has always been like this! If there is a problem, is there still a solution?

Hello Mr.
Xiao Yu: It is recommended that when you have an erection, you take two photos from different angles using your phone or camera (self-taken is fine).
1.
From above (to observe the lateral curvature of the penis) 2.
From the side (to observe the vertical curvature of the penis).
Generally, a curvature exceeding 30 degrees can affect sexual intercourse, and at this point, corrective surgery may be necessary.

Understanding the normalcy of erection angles and their implications can be a source of concern for many individuals. Based on your description, it seems that you are experiencing a situation where your penis remains in a downward position when erect, and you have noted that it does not return to a fixed position after manipulation. This can understandably lead to confusion and anxiety, especially when comparing your experience to that of others.
Firstly, it is important to recognize that there is a wide range of normal when it comes to the anatomy and function of the penis. Erection angles can vary significantly among individuals. Some men may have a penis that points straight up, while others may have a downward angle, and both can be completely normal. The angle of erection can be influenced by several factors, including the length and curvature of the penis, the distribution of erectile tissue, and even the position of the body during arousal.
In your case, the fact that you can achieve an erection and engage in sexual activity without issues suggests that there may not be a significant underlying problem. The ability to perform sexually is often a key indicator of erectile health. However, if you are experiencing discomfort, pain, or any other symptoms during erections or sexual activity, it would be advisable to seek medical advice.
The concern about the penis not returning to a fixed position after manipulation could be related to the elasticity of the penile tissue or the way the erectile tissue is structured. Some men may find that their penis has a tendency to return to a more relaxed state after being manipulated, which can be normal. However, if you feel that this is unusual for you or if it has changed over time, it may warrant further investigation.
It is also worth noting that psychological factors can play a role in how one perceives their sexual health. Anxiety about performance or physical appearance can sometimes exacerbate concerns about erectile function. If you find that your worries are affecting your sexual experiences or overall well-being, speaking with a healthcare professional can provide reassurance and guidance.
In terms of seeking help, it is completely normal to feel apprehensive about visiting a doctor regarding sexual health issues. However, healthcare providers are trained to handle such concerns with sensitivity and confidentiality. They can perform a physical examination and may recommend tests if necessary to rule out any underlying conditions, such as Peyronie's disease, which can cause abnormal curvature of the penis.
In conclusion, while the angle of your erection may differ from that of your friends, it does not necessarily indicate a problem, especially if you are able to engage in sexual activity without issues. However, if you have ongoing concerns or if there are changes in your erectile function, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional. They can provide you with the necessary information and support to address your concerns effectively. Remember, sexual health is an important aspect of overall well-being, and seeking help is a positive step towards understanding and improving your health.
