[Concern] Dull pain in the left chest?
Recently, I have occasionally felt a tight sensation in the lower left side of my chest.
Given my age, I am unsure if I should be concerned.
Although this is a new symptom, it mostly occurs when I am lying down, so I initially thought it was due to poor posture and didn't pay much attention until tonight.
The weather was hot, so I took out my swimsuit and went swimming in the evening, followed by using the sauna and steam room.
After swimming a thousand meters, I rinsed off in hot water and changed before walking home.
On the way, I stopped at a 7-Eleven to buy a cheese and ham sandwich and a 330ml carbonated drink, eating while walking for about 20 minutes until I got home, where I immediately took a hot shower and towel-dried my hair.
After lying down, the symptoms suddenly appeared with a vengeance, more intense than before.
I felt a sharp pain at the lower edge of my left chest near the ribs, making it difficult to breathe.
I immediately sat up and took deep breaths, but it didn't help; lying down was uncomfortable as well.
After a while, when I lay completely flat, the symptoms mysteriously disappeared, leaving me feeling warm.
I then got up to handle some tasks.
About half an hour later, while sitting down to use the computer, I felt my heart racing, and an electronic blood pressure monitor showed normal blood pressure with a heart rate of 92.
The pain was noticeable but not unbearable, though it caused shortness of breath.
The pain was localized to a specific point that I could easily identify with my finger, rather than being diffuse.
My BMI is approximately 28, and my body fat is 38, so I have been trying to lose weight recently.
I am unsure if I should be worried.
