After masturbation, there is localized pain in the foreskin?

Hello, due to recent surgeries on other areas, I have been taking antibiotics.
I have not masturbated for about a week.
Normally, I can fully retract my foreskin after an erection.
After masturbating yesterday, I felt very dry because of the fan blowing on me.
After ejaculation, I experienced pain on the outer side of the foreskin.
It also hurts when I wash with hot water.
The pain occurs only when I retract the foreskin for cleaning; once retracted, I can clean without pain.
However, it appears slightly swollen, and there are no other symptoms like spots or itching.
After sleeping, the pain is less when touched, but when I apply petroleum jelly, it becomes as painful as yesterday.
Could this be balanitis? I wash and retract for cleaning every day.

Based on the symptoms, it is likely to be balanitis or posthitis.
It is recommended to consult a urologist.

More Info

Based on your description, it seems you are experiencing pain after masturbation, particularly in the area beneath the foreskin, which is accompanied by some swelling. Given that you have been on antibiotics and have not engaged in sexual activity for about a week, it’s important to consider a few potential causes for your symptoms.

Possible Causes of Pain After Masturbation
1. Balanitis: This is an inflammation of the glans (the head of the penis) and can occur due to various reasons, including poor hygiene, infections (bacterial or fungal), or irritants. Symptoms often include redness, swelling, and pain, especially when the foreskin is retracted. Given that you mentioned some swelling and pain upon retraction, this could be a possibility.

2. Irritation or Friction: If you experienced dryness during masturbation, especially with the fan blowing on you, this could lead to irritation of the sensitive skin. Using a lubricant can help prevent this, but if you are experiencing pain after applying something like petroleum jelly, it may be causing an allergic reaction or irritation.

3. Infection: While you are on antibiotics, it’s still possible to develop a localized infection, especially if there was any break in the skin or if the area was not kept clean. Symptoms of infection can include pain, swelling, and sometimes discharge.

4. Allergic Reaction: If you have recently changed any products you use (like soaps, lotions, or lubricants), an allergic reaction could cause localized swelling and pain.

5. Post-Surgical Effects: Since you mentioned having surgery on another part of your body, it’s worth considering that your body may be reacting to the stress of surgery or the antibiotics you are taking. Sometimes, systemic medications can have localized effects.

Recommendations
1. Hygiene: Continue to maintain good hygiene by gently cleaning the area with warm water. Avoid harsh soaps or irritants that could exacerbate the condition.

2. Avoid Irritants: If you suspect that the petroleum jelly is causing irritation, consider stopping its use and opting for a water-based lubricant during masturbation.

3. Monitor Symptoms: Keep an eye on your symptoms. If the pain persists, worsens, or if you develop additional symptoms such as discharge, fever, or increased swelling, it would be advisable to seek medical attention.

4. Consult a Doctor: If the pain continues or if you are concerned about the possibility of balanitis or another infection, it’s best to consult a healthcare provider. They can perform a physical examination and may recommend tests or treatments based on their findings.

5. Avoid Sexual Activity: Until you have clarity on the cause of your pain, it may be wise to refrain from masturbation or any sexual activity to prevent further irritation or injury.

Conclusion
While it is possible that you are experiencing balanitis or another form of irritation, it is essential to monitor your symptoms closely. If you notice any worsening of your condition or if you have concerns about an infection, please seek medical advice promptly. Your health and comfort are paramount, and a healthcare professional can provide you with the best guidance tailored to your specific situation.
