Masturbation - Clavicle Issues
I have had a comminuted fracture surgery on July 27, and it has been over five months since then.
However, since September, I have been masturbating almost daily.
During my recent follow-up, the doctor mentioned that my clavicle has not healed properly and that it is still in a juvenile state, which I found quite strange.
The doctor advised me to wait longer for it to heal.
My question is, will daily masturbation affect my clavicle in any way? Will it slow down the healing process? I have surgery scheduled for February, so I feel like I am asking a bit late and hope to get some answers.
P.S.
I am in the second year of junior high school.

Hello: The hand on the injured side of the clavicle needs to rest.
If you are using the other hand for DIY activities, it should be fine.
Thank you for your inquiry.

Frequent masturbation is a common behavior among adolescents and young adults, and while it is generally considered a normal part of sexual development, there are concerns about its potential impact on physical health, particularly in the context of healing from injuries such as a clavicle fracture.
When it comes to bone healing, several factors play a crucial role, including age, nutrition, overall health, and activity levels. The process of bone healing involves several stages: inflammation, repair, and remodeling. During the repair phase, new bone tissue forms, and this process can be influenced by various factors, including physical activity and hormonal levels.
Masturbation itself is not directly linked to bone healing. However, it can lead to temporary physical exertion, which may affect how you feel physically afterward. If masturbation leads to increased heart rate or muscle tension, it could potentially cause discomfort, especially if you are still healing from a fracture. It is essential to listen to your body and avoid any activities that cause pain or discomfort in the area of the fracture.
In your case, since you mentioned that your doctor indicated that your clavicle has not healed completely, it is crucial to follow their advice regarding activity levels. Engaging in activities that put stress on your body, including masturbation, may not directly slow down the healing process, but if it leads to discomfort or strain, it could hinder your recovery indirectly.
Moreover, the healing of bones can be influenced by hormonal changes in the body. Masturbation can lead to temporary changes in hormone levels, including testosterone and endorphins, which might affect your mood and energy levels. However, these hormonal changes are typically short-lived and unlikely to have a significant impact on the healing of a fracture.
It is also important to consider your overall lifestyle. Adequate nutrition, including sufficient intake of calcium and vitamin D, is vital for bone health. If you are engaging in other activities that could compromise your nutrition or overall health, it might affect your healing process.
In summary, while frequent masturbation is unlikely to have a direct negative impact on the healing of your clavicle fracture, it is essential to be mindful of how your body feels during the recovery process. If you experience pain or discomfort, it may be wise to reduce the frequency of such activities until you have fully healed. Always consult with your healthcare provider regarding any concerns about your recovery and follow their recommendations for rehabilitation and activity levels. They can provide personalized advice based on your specific situation and ensure that you are on the right track to recovery.
