Vaginal bleeding
Two days after my menstrual period ended, I inserted my finger into my vagina for masturbation and noticed bright red blood coming out.
This also happened last month, and I'm wondering if it could be due to vigorous activity causing a tear.
After noticing the bleeding, I stopped masturbating, but I still found blood stains on my underwear.
I did not feel any pain.

Post-menstrual vaginal bleeding can be concerning, especially when it occurs after sexual activity or masturbation. Based on your description, it seems that you experienced bright red bleeding shortly after your menstrual period ended, which raises several potential causes and considerations.
One common reason for post-menstrual bleeding, especially after sexual activity or masturbation, is trauma to the vaginal walls. The vagina is a sensitive area, and vigorous activity can sometimes lead to minor abrasions or tears, particularly if there is insufficient lubrication. This can result in bright red blood, which is typically fresh and indicates that the bleeding is coming from a superficial source. Since you mentioned that you did not experience pain, this could suggest that the injury is minor and not indicative of a more serious condition.
Another possibility is hormonal fluctuations. After menstruation, the hormonal levels in the body can still be adjusting, which may lead to light spotting or bleeding. This is often referred to as "breakthrough bleeding" and can occur in women who have irregular cycles or those who are experiencing changes in their hormonal balance.
Additionally, conditions such as cervical polyps or infections (like cervicitis or vaginitis) can also cause post-menstrual bleeding. These conditions may not always present with pain but can lead to spotting or bleeding after sexual activity. If you have a history of infections or if you notice any unusual discharge, it would be wise to consult a healthcare provider.
Given that you experienced similar bleeding last month, it may be beneficial to keep track of your menstrual cycle and any associated symptoms. If the bleeding continues or worsens, or if you begin to experience pain, it is important to seek medical advice. A healthcare provider can perform a thorough examination, which may include a pelvic exam, to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.
In summary, while minor trauma from vigorous activity is a likely cause of your post-menstrual bleeding, it is essential to monitor your symptoms. If the bleeding persists or if you have any concerns about your reproductive health, do not hesitate to reach out to a healthcare professional for further evaluation and guidance. Regular gynecological check-ups are also important for maintaining reproductive health and addressing any concerns that may arise.
