Hello Doctor: In January, I discovered that my fasting blood sugar was 140.
After one week of dietary control, I went to the hospital for a blood test, and the result showed a fasting level of 119 and an HbA1c of 7.2.
The doctor gave me two months to manage my diet without medication.
(During these two months, my HbA1c improved from 7.2 to 5.2.) On April 10, I had blood drawn for other health reasons, and the report showed that my HbA1c had dropped to 4.8, but my fasting blood sugar was surprisingly 121, which is higher than the 119 when my HbA1c was 7.2 (I measured my blood sugar at home and it was 85).
I didn't know I was going to have blood drawn that day, so I fasted for 17 hours before the test, and my body was under high stress due to other issues that day.
