The right posterior part of the head struck the wooden floor of the room?

Today while using the computer, the screws on my chair suddenly loosened, and I fell down.
At that moment, I felt pain in the right back of my head, but I wasn't sure if I hit the chair or the floor.
There was no dizziness, just pain, and no swelling.
Later, I researched online and found out that hitting the back of the head can be serious, which made me worry after a few minutes.
I started to feel very tired and a bit dizzy, but after washing my face and going out with friends for lunch, I didn't think much about it and didn't feel anything unusual.
I often feel very fatigued in the afternoons and sometimes take regular naps, so I'm not sure if it's related to not getting enough rest.

More Info

Experiencing a head injury, especially after a fall, can be concerning, and it's important to understand the potential implications and necessary steps to take afterward. In your case, you mentioned falling from a chair and hitting the back of your head, which is a common scenario that can lead to various symptoms, including pain, dizziness, and fatigue.

First and foremost, it's essential to recognize that head injuries can range from mild to severe. The symptoms you described—pain in the back of the head and feelings of fatigue—are not uncommon after a fall. However, they can also be indicative of more serious conditions, such as a concussion or intracranial injury.

Understanding the Symptoms
1. Pain: The immediate pain you felt in the back of your head could be due to soft tissue injury, such as a contusion or strain in the neck muscles. Pain can also be a sign of a concussion, which occurs when the brain is shaken inside the skull, leading to temporary dysfunction.

2. Dizziness and Fatigue: Feeling dizzy or fatigued after a head injury can be a result of several factors. It could be due to the body's response to trauma, where the brain may be temporarily affected, leading to symptoms like dizziness. Additionally, if you are not getting enough rest or have a poor sleep schedule, this can exacerbate feelings of fatigue and contribute to a sense of dizziness.

3. Psychological Factors: It's also worth noting that anxiety and worry about the injury can lead to psychosomatic symptoms, where you may feel more fatigued or dizzy simply due to stress or concern about your health.

What to Do After a Head Injury
1. Monitor Symptoms: After a head injury, it's crucial to monitor your symptoms closely. If you experience worsening headaches, persistent dizziness, nausea, vomiting, confusion, or any changes in consciousness, you should seek medical attention immediately.

2. Rest: Adequate rest is vital for recovery. Avoid strenuous activities, including heavy exercise and prolonged screen time, which can strain your eyes and exacerbate headaches.

3. Hydration and Nutrition: Ensure you are well-hydrated and eating a balanced diet, as both can significantly affect your energy levels and overall recovery.

4. Seek Medical Advice: If your symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional. They may recommend imaging studies, such as a CT scan, to rule out any serious injuries like fractures or bleeding in the brain.

5. Gradual Return to Activities: Once you feel better, gradually return to your normal activities. Pay attention to how your body responds, and if symptoms return, take a step back and rest.

Conclusion
In summary, while your initial symptoms may not seem severe, it’s essential to remain vigilant. Head injuries can have delayed effects, and being proactive about your health is crucial. If you continue to feel fatigued or experience any concerning symptoms, do not hesitate to seek medical evaluation. Remember, your health and safety should always come first, and it's better to err on the side of caution when it comes to head injuries.
