The semen contains yellow granules?
During ejaculation, I have been noticing yellow particles (some large, some small) for a while now.
Recently, it seems that the particles have increased in number and size.
I also feel that ejaculation is not smooth (there's a sensation of something blocking).
The larger yellow particles can get stuck in the urethra, and I have to manually squeeze them out; otherwise, my penis feels uncomfortable as if something is lodged inside.

The presence of yellow granules in semen can be concerning and may indicate several underlying conditions. It is essential to understand that semen is composed of sperm and various fluids produced by the seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and other glands. The appearance of yellow granules, especially if they are larger and cause discomfort during ejaculation, could be attributed to several factors.
One possible cause is the presence of prostatic fluid or debris from the prostate gland. The prostate can produce secretions that may appear as yellowish granules, especially if there is an underlying condition such as prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate). Prostatitis can be acute or chronic and may result from bacterial infections or other non-bacterial factors. Symptoms often include pelvic pain, painful urination, and discomfort during ejaculation.
Another potential cause could be seminal vesiculitis, which is inflammation of the seminal vesicles. This condition can also lead to the production of abnormal secretions, which may appear as yellow granules in the semen. Seminal vesiculitis can be caused by infections, inflammation, or other underlying health issues.
Additionally, the presence of yellow granules could be related to the accumulation of dead sperm or cellular debris. If there is a blockage or obstruction in the reproductive tract, it may lead to the retention of these materials, resulting in the formation of granules that can be expelled during ejaculation.
It is also worth considering the possibility of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or other infections that could affect the reproductive system. Infections can lead to changes in the consistency and appearance of semen, and they may also cause discomfort or pain during ejaculation.
If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is crucial to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. A urologist can perform a physical examination, take a detailed medical history, and possibly conduct tests such as a semen analysis, urine tests, or imaging studies to determine the underlying cause of the yellow granules in your semen.
In the meantime, here are some general recommendations:
1. Stay Hydrated: Ensure you are drinking enough water, as hydration can influence the consistency of bodily fluids.
2. Avoid Irritants: Limit exposure to substances that may irritate the urinary tract, such as caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods.
3. Practice Safe Sex: If you are sexually active, using protection can help reduce the risk of STIs, which could contribute to your symptoms.
4. Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any additional symptoms you may experience, such as pain, changes in urination, or fever, and report these to your healthcare provider.
5. Follow Up: If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is essential to seek medical attention promptly to address any potential underlying issues.
In conclusion, while yellow granules in semen can be alarming, they are often indicative of treatable conditions. Early intervention and proper medical evaluation are key to managing any underlying health issues effectively.
