Pain on the right side of the leg during ejaculation?

For about a year now, I have experienced a strong nerve pain located on the upper outer side of my right leg, near the hip bone, at the moment of ejaculation.
The left leg is unaffected.
This has persisted for a year without improvement.
I consulted a doctor who suggested that the pain is due to muscle tension during ejaculation and advised me to change my position during ejaculation.
I have tried this, but I feel that the issue is not related to my position.
I would like to know how to resolve this.

Hello: Ejaculation pain may possibly be related to chronic prostatitis.
It is recommended to consult a urologist for examination.
Wishing you good health.

More Info

Experiencing pain in the right leg during ejaculation can be a perplexing and distressing issue. The symptoms you describe, particularly the sharp nerve pain located near the hip bone on the outer side of the right leg, suggest that there may be a neurological or muscular component involved. Given that this pain has persisted for a year without improvement, it is essential to explore potential causes and solutions more thoroughly.

Possible Causes
1. Nerve Compression or Irritation: The pain you are experiencing could be related to nerve compression in the lumbar spine or pelvis. Conditions such as a herniated disc or sciatica can lead to nerve irritation, which may manifest as pain radiating down the leg during activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure, such as ejaculation.

2. Muscle Tension or Spasm: During ejaculation, various muscle groups contract, including those in the pelvic floor and lower back. If these muscles are overly tense or in spasm, they may contribute to pain that radiates to the leg. This is particularly relevant if you have a history of muscle strain or tension in the pelvic area.

3. Referred Pain: Sometimes, pain in one area of the body can be referred from another. For example, issues with the hip joint or lower back can sometimes cause pain that feels like it is originating from the leg.

4. Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: Dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles can lead to pain during sexual activity. This might involve tightness or weakness in the pelvic muscles, which can be exacerbated during ejaculation.

Suggested Solutions
1. Consult a Specialist: Since the pain has persisted for a year, it would be prudent to consult a specialist, such as a neurologist or a urologist, who can perform a thorough evaluation. They may recommend imaging studies like an MRI to rule out any structural issues in the spine or pelvis.

2. Physical Therapy: Engaging in physical therapy focused on the pelvic floor can be beneficial. A physical therapist can guide you through exercises designed to relax tight muscles, strengthen weak ones, and improve overall pelvic floor function.

3. Pain Management Techniques: In addition to physical therapy, consider discussing pain management options with your healthcare provider. This may include medications, nerve blocks, or other interventions to help alleviate pain.

4. Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: Stress and anxiety can exacerbate muscle tension. Techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga may help reduce overall tension in the body, potentially alleviating some of the pain during ejaculation.

5. Modify Sexual Practices: While you mentioned that changing positions did not help, it may be worth experimenting with different techniques or approaches to sexual activity. This could include focusing on relaxation and ensuring that you are not holding tension in your body during the process.

6. Lifestyle Adjustments: Regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding prolonged sitting can help improve overall muscle tone and reduce the risk of nerve compression.

Conclusion
In summary, the pain you are experiencing in your right leg during ejaculation is likely multifactorial, involving potential nerve irritation, muscle tension, or pelvic floor dysfunction. A comprehensive approach that includes consulting specialists, engaging in physical therapy, and exploring pain management techniques may provide relief. It is crucial to address this issue proactively, as chronic pain can significantly impact quality of life. Remember, open communication with your healthcare provider about your symptoms and concerns is key to finding an effective solution.
