The glans has become sensitive after three months of abstaining from masturbation?
Hello, I am 17 years old.
From early December last year to the end of February this year, I did not masturbate for a total of three months.
After resuming masturbation in early March, I have noticed that during the last 5 or 6 times, my glans has become very sensitive.
It seems that I can reach ejaculation almost immediately after just a few strokes (less than 30 seconds after erection), which is much quicker than before.
I am concerned that this might be premature ejaculation.
(1) Could this be due to the long period without masturbation, or is it caused by something else?
(2) Will this condition improve? If so, how long might it take, and what can I do to improve it? (Currently, I rub my glans while showering every day to see if it can reduce the sensitivity.)
(3) If I continue to masturbate regularly, will this improve? (I am currently doing it 3 to 4 times a week, whereas before I was doing it once a day.)
(4) During these three months, I have performed anal examinations and prostate massages.
Is there any relation to this? Thank you.

Hello: 1) It's possible, but how long ago was it before March? 2) A consultation with a urologist at the hospital is necessary for a proper assessment.
3) It's not certain.
4) It is not recommended to perform this action (digital rectal examination, squeezing the prostate).
Wishing you good health.

It's completely normal for young men to experience changes in sensitivity and sexual response, especially after a period of abstinence from masturbation. Let's break down your questions and concerns regarding the increased sensitivity of the glans (the head of the penis) after three months without masturbation.
1. Is the increased sensitivity due to the long period of abstinence?
Yes, the increased sensitivity you are experiencing can be attributed to the three-month period without masturbation. During this time, your body may have adjusted to the lack of stimulation, leading to heightened sensitivity when you resumed. The glans is highly sensitive, and when it is not regularly stimulated, it can become more reactive to touch. This is a common phenomenon and can happen to many individuals after a break from sexual activity.
2. Will this sensitivity improve over time?
Yes, in most cases, this heightened sensitivity will likely normalize over time. As you continue to engage in sexual activity, your body will adjust, and you may find that your sensitivity decreases to a more manageable level. The duration for this adjustment can vary from person to person, but it typically takes a few weeks of regular sexual activity for your body to recalibrate.
To help manage the sensitivity, you might consider gradually increasing the frequency of masturbation or sexual activity. This can help desensitize the glans over time. Additionally, practicing relaxation techniques and focusing on longer foreplay can also help you gain better control over your arousal levels.
3. Will continued masturbation help improve the situation?
Yes, continuing to masturbate regularly can help your body adjust to the sensations and potentially reduce the sensitivity. Since you mentioned that you are currently masturbating 3 to 4 times a week, this frequency should be sufficient for your body to adapt. It's important to listen to your body and not rush the process. If you find that you are still experiencing discomfort or excessive sensitivity, consider reducing the intensity or duration of stimulation during masturbation.
4. Does the prostate examination relate to this sensitivity?
The prostate examination you mentioned, including the digital rectal exam and prostate massage, can have various effects on sexual function and sensitivity. While these activities can stimulate the prostate and may lead to heightened arousal, they are not directly linked to the sensitivity of the glans. However, if you are engaging in these activities frequently, they could contribute to your overall sexual response and sensitivity.
In summary, the increased sensitivity you are experiencing is likely a temporary adjustment following a period of abstinence. With regular sexual activity, this sensitivity should decrease over time. If you have ongoing concerns about premature ejaculation or sensitivity, consider discussing these issues with a healthcare professional who specializes in sexual health. They can provide personalized advice and strategies to help you manage your sexual health effectively. Remember, sexual health is an important aspect of overall well-being, and it's perfectly okay to seek guidance when needed.
