The semen has a yellow jelly-like consistency?
Hello doctor, not long ago after having intercourse with my girlfriend, I noticed some abnormalities in the semen inside the condom.
Normally, it should be a milky white liquid, but I found that my semen had a yellow jelly-like consistency in addition to the milky white liquid.
When I slightly squeezed out the semen that didn't flow out from my urethra, it also came out as a yellow jelly-like substance, but it didn't have any unusual odor.
Additionally, I experienced a stinging burning sensation during ejaculation.
I believe my libido is quite strong, as I typically masturbate once a day, sometimes even 2 to 3 times.
Could this be related to the frequency of my sexual activity? Recently, I visited a urologist, and he mentioned that I have an E.
coli infection in my urethra.
Can a typical E.
coli infection cause these symptoms?

Actually, a certain amount of it is considered a normal phenomenon and does not require concern.

More Info
The presence of yellow, jelly-like semen can indeed be concerning, especially when accompanied by symptoms such as a burning sensation during ejaculation. While I cannot provide a definitive diagnosis without a physical examination and further testing, I can offer some insights based on the information you've provided.
Firstly, the color and consistency of semen can vary for a number of reasons. Normal semen is typically a whitish color and has a gel-like consistency, which helps to protect and transport sperm. However, changes in color, such as a yellow hue, can be indicative of various factors. One common cause of yellowish semen is the presence of urine in the semen, which can occur if there is a retrograde ejaculation or if there is a urinary tract infection (UTI).
In your case, the fact that you have been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by E. coli (Escherichia coli) could explain some of the changes you are experiencing. UTIs can lead to inflammation and irritation of the urethra, which may result in discomfort during ejaculation and changes in the appearance of semen. E. coli is a common bacterium that can cause infections in the urinary tract, and it is not unusual for it to affect the urethra, leading to symptoms such as burning sensations and changes in discharge.
Regarding your concern about frequent sexual activity, while engaging in sexual activity multiple times a day is generally not harmful for most individuals, it can lead to temporary changes in semen quality and consistency. Frequent ejaculation can sometimes result in a lower volume of semen, and if the body is not given adequate time to recover, it may also lead to changes in the appearance of the semen. However, this is typically not a cause for concern unless accompanied by other symptoms.
It is also important to consider other potential causes for the symptoms you are experiencing. Infections, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), or inflammation of the prostate (prostatitis) can also lead to similar symptoms. If you have not already done so, it would be prudent to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation. They may recommend additional tests, such as a urinalysis or semen analysis, to rule out other potential issues.
In summary, the yellow, jelly-like appearance of your semen, combined with the burning sensation during ejaculation, could be related to your urinary tract infection. It is essential to follow your healthcare provider's recommendations for treatment and to monitor your symptoms. If the symptoms persist or worsen, or if you develop new symptoms, it is crucial to seek medical attention promptly. Maintaining good hydration, practicing safe sex, and ensuring proper hygiene can also help in preventing future infections.
