Injury to the glans penis?

I had a slight case of phimosis when I was younger, where the glans could not be fully exposed (about 1/4 was not exposed).
Four years ago, I forcefully retracted it and discovered what appeared to be pimples on the glans.
At that time, there was also a wound on the glans, but it healed relatively quickly.
However, after healing, the area that was injured remained darker in color compared to the surrounding areas of the glans (leaning towards purple).
It has remained this way until now.
What could be the reason for this? Thank you, doctor.

Understanding head injuries and their potential long-term effects is crucial for anyone who has experienced trauma to the head. In your case, it seems you have a history of head trauma and are now experiencing symptoms that may be related to that injury.
When a person suffers a head injury, especially one that involves a fracture of the skull or significant impact, it can lead to a variety of symptoms. These may include headaches, dizziness, nausea, and even changes in mood or cognitive function. The symptoms you are experiencing, such as dizziness and nausea, could indeed be related to your previous head injury. It is essential to monitor these symptoms closely, as they can indicate complications such as post-concussion syndrome or other neurological issues.

Post-concussion syndrome can occur after a concussion and may present with persistent headaches, dizziness, and cognitive difficulties. It is characterized by a range of symptoms that can last for weeks or even months after the initial injury. Given your history of head trauma, it would be prudent to consult a healthcare professional who specializes in neurology or sports medicine for a thorough evaluation. They may recommend imaging studies, such as a CT scan or MRI, to rule out any underlying issues that could be contributing to your symptoms.

Regarding the discoloration you mentioned on the glans (the head of the penis), this is a separate issue but also warrants attention. The fact that you have a history of phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin fully) and that you experienced trauma to the area could explain the changes in color. The purple discoloration may be due to a few factors, including:
1. Trauma and Healing: After an injury, the body goes through a healing process that can lead to changes in skin color. Bruising can cause areas to appear darker as blood vessels break and blood pools under the skin.

2. Hyperpigmentation: Sometimes, after an injury, the skin can become hyperpigmented, meaning it produces more melanin in response to trauma. This can result in darker patches of skin that may persist long after the injury has healed.

3. Infection or Inflammation: If there was an infection or ongoing inflammation in the area after the injury, this could also lead to changes in color. Signs of infection may include redness, swelling, or discharge.

4. Dermatological Conditions: Conditions such as pearly penile papules or other benign lesions can sometimes be mistaken for more serious issues. If the lesions you described resemble pimples or bumps, they may not be harmful but should be evaluated by a healthcare provider.

In conclusion, both your head injury and the discoloration on the glans are important health concerns that should be addressed. For the head injury, seek a thorough neurological evaluation to ensure there are no lasting effects from the trauma. For the discoloration, a visit to a urologist or dermatologist would be beneficial to assess the area and determine if any treatment is necessary. Always prioritize your health and well-being by consulting with healthcare professionals when you have concerns about your symptoms.
