Sensitivity issues?
I'm currently 24 years old.
I was diagnosed with phimosis in middle school, but as I grew older, I was able to retract the foreskin freely, so I don't plan to undergo circumcision.
I started masturbating using my hand around the age of 15, and around 20 to 21, I began using masturbation devices recommended by friends.
To maintain cleanliness for continuous use, I wash my hands before and after urination, and I also wipe away any residual urine with my hand before washing again.
This means that I use water to remove any remaining urine to achieve a clean effect, so I believe the glans should be relatively clean.
I suspect that my glans has become accustomed to being touched by my hand.
The main issue is that over time, I have noticed that I have very little sensation when masturbating with my hand.
No matter how hard I try to rub or stroke, it's difficult to reach the point of ejaculation.
For example, during a 40-minute session while watching adult films, from foreplay to the end, I continuously stimulate the glans with my fingers (using my index finger, middle finger, and thumb to grip around it).
The pre-ejaculatory fluid I use as lubrication dries up, and by the end of the video, while the male actor has finished, I still do not feel the urge to ejaculate.
I can only achieve orgasm using a masturbation device.
Is this considered a normal phenomenon? I suspect that my penis no longer perceives my hand as a substitute for a partner.
Additionally, I have never engaged in sexual intercourse up to this point.
However, I would like to ask if this will have any impact on future sexual experiences.
After all, using my hand does not require me to clean up in the bathroom, while using a device necessitates cleaning the penis, which can sometimes feel cumbersome, leading me to prefer using my hand.

The decrease in sensitivity you mentioned should be considered in the diagnosis of delayed ejaculation.
There are many reasons for this, and it is indeed related to masturbation.
You may try to reduce masturbation for a period of time, and if the symptoms do not improve, you should consult a urologist.

Understanding sensitivity issues in male masturbation is a multifaceted topic that involves physiological, psychological, and behavioral aspects. From a urology perspective, it is important to recognize that the sensations experienced during masturbation can change over time due to various factors, including technique, frequency, and the use of different stimulation methods.
In your case, it seems that you have developed a reliance on a masturbation device, which has altered your sensitivity and response to manual stimulation. This is not uncommon; many individuals find that their bodies adapt to specific forms of stimulation. When you consistently use a device, your body may become accustomed to that particular sensation, leading to a decreased response when using your hands. This phenomenon is sometimes referred to as "sensory adaptation," where the nerve endings become less responsive to a stimulus that is frequently applied.
The fact that you have not engaged in sexual intercourse yet may also play a role in your current experience. Sexual arousal and orgasm are complex processes that involve not only physical stimulation but also psychological factors such as arousal, fantasy, and emotional connection. Since you have primarily relied on masturbation, your body may not have had the opportunity to experience the different types of stimulation that occur during partnered sexual activity. This could lead to a disconnect between your expectations and your physical responses.
Regarding your concern about the impact of your current masturbation habits on future sexual encounters, it is essential to understand that sexual function can be quite adaptable. While it is possible that your reliance on a device may influence your sensitivity during intercourse, many men find that their bodies can adjust to different forms of stimulation over time. Engaging in a variety of sexual experiences, including manual stimulation, oral sex, and intercourse, can help your body recalibrate its responses.
To enhance your sensitivity and enjoyment during masturbation, consider varying your techniques. You might try different hand movements, speeds, and pressures, or even experiment with different types of lubrication. Additionally, incorporating fantasy or erotic material that excites you can help increase arousal and potentially improve your sensitivity.
It is also worth noting that maintaining good hygiene is crucial, especially when using masturbation devices. Regular cleaning helps prevent infections and ensures that your experiences remain pleasurable. If you find that you are often feeling inconvenienced by the cleaning process, it may be helpful to establish a routine that makes it feel less burdensome.
If you continue to experience difficulties with sensitivity or arousal, or if you have concerns about your sexual health, it may be beneficial to consult with a urologist or a sexual health specialist. They can provide personalized advice and help address any underlying issues that may be affecting your sexual function.
In summary, changes in sensitivity during masturbation can be influenced by various factors, including technique and frequency of stimulation. While your current habits may have altered your response to manual stimulation, your body is capable of adapting to different forms of sexual activity. By exploring a variety of techniques and maintaining good hygiene, you can enhance your sexual experiences and ensure a healthy sexual function in the future.
