Abnormal bleeding and the possibility of pregnancy?

Hello, doctor! My girlfriend had her menstrual period from June 5 to June 11 this month.
After her period ended, several days passed, and now (June 19) she is experiencing some bleeding again.
The bleeding is not heavy, there is no abdominal pain, but there is some bleeding.
Yesterday (June 18), she had significant abdominal pain, but it felt different from menstrual cramps; it was more like general stomach pain.
On that day, the bleeding was more pronounced, while today (June 19), there is only blood when wiping, and although her stomach does not hurt, she is experiencing pain in the vaginal area.

We had sexual contact on May 25, but there was no penetration, only touching.
Since there was no penetration, we did not use a condom, but both of our genital areas did come into contact.
Is there a possibility of pregnancy in this situation? Could this bleeding be related to that? At that time, I only used my fingers for penetration; could the bleeding be a result of me being too rough?
To summarize my questions: Could this bleeding be caused by pregnancy? If not, what could be the reason? Also, since we had sexual activity last month but she has already had her period this month, is there still a possibility of pregnancy? Lastly, she has been under a lot of stress lately; could this bleeding be related to that? Please help me with these questions, thank you!

Abnormal bleeding can indeed be a concern, especially when it occurs outside of the expected menstrual cycle. In your girlfriend's case, there are several factors to consider regarding the potential for pregnancy and the cause of the bleeding.

Firstly, the timing of her menstrual cycle is crucial. If her last period was from June 5 to June 11, and she is experiencing bleeding again on June 19, it is relatively close to the end of her menstrual cycle. This could potentially be a sign of ovulation bleeding, which can occur when an egg is released from the ovary. Ovulation bleeding is typically light and can be accompanied by mild cramping, which may explain the abdominal discomfort she experienced.

Regarding the sexual activity on May 25, while you mentioned that there was no penetration, it is important to note that sperm can still be present on fingers or in the genital area. If there was any transfer of sperm to the vaginal area, there is a possibility of pregnancy, although the likelihood is lower without direct penetration. However, since she had a normal menstrual period in June, it is less likely that she is pregnant from that encounter.

The bleeding your girlfriend is experiencing could be due to several reasons, including hormonal fluctuations, stress, or even physical irritation from the sexual activity. Stress can significantly impact menstrual cycles and lead to irregular bleeding. If she has been under considerable stress recently, this could very well be a contributing factor to the abnormal bleeding.

If the bleeding is light and not accompanied by severe pain or other concerning symptoms, it may not be a cause for alarm. However, if the bleeding persists, becomes heavier, or is accompanied by severe pain, it would be advisable for her to consult a healthcare provider for further evaluation. A healthcare professional can perform a physical examination and possibly order tests, such as a pregnancy test or ultrasound, to determine the cause of the bleeding.

In summary, while there is a possibility of pregnancy from the sexual activity on May 25, the presence of a normal menstrual period in June makes it less likely. The bleeding on June 19 could be due to ovulation, stress, or other benign causes. Monitoring the situation and seeking medical advice if symptoms worsen is the best course of action.
