Painful ejaculation

Hello doctor, recently when I was doing DIY, I experienced pain at the moment of ejaculation, but it goes away afterward.
I usually do DIY once a day, but I haven't done it for the past 10 days.
Yesterday, when I did DIY for the second time (the first time was normal without pain, and the second time was about three hours after the first), I felt a bit of pressure during ejaculation, and there was a slight pain when I ejaculated.
Today, when I did DIY again, there was still some pain, but it was less intense than before.
Could you please tell me what this issue might be? I have no problems with urination, only pain during ejaculation.

There is no need to worry about neuropathic pain; regular exercise can help alleviate it.

Painful ejaculation, or dysorgasmia, can be a distressing condition that affects men of various ages. The experience of pain during ejaculation can stem from a variety of causes, and understanding these can help in identifying potential solutions.

Possible Causes
1. Infection or Inflammation: One of the most common causes of painful ejaculation is prostatitis, which is inflammation of the prostate gland. This can be due to bacterial infections or non-bacterial causes. Other infections, such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), can also lead to discomfort during ejaculation.

2. Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: The pelvic floor muscles play a crucial role in sexual function. Tension or dysfunction in these muscles can lead to painful ejaculation. This is often associated with chronic pelvic pain syndrome.

3. Nerve Damage or Irritation: Nerve issues, whether from previous injuries, surgeries, or conditions like diabetes, can lead to altered sensations during ejaculation, including pain.

4. Hormonal Imbalances: Hormonal issues, particularly involving testosterone, can affect sexual function and may contribute to painful ejaculation.

5. Psychological Factors: Anxiety, stress, or past traumatic experiences can also manifest physically, leading to discomfort during sexual activities.

6. Overstimulation: Engaging in sexual activities too frequently or with excessive force can lead to temporary discomfort or pain during ejaculation.

Solutions and Recommendations
1. Medical Evaluation: It is crucial to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. This may include a physical examination, urine tests, and possibly imaging studies to rule out infections or other underlying conditions.

2. Antibiotics or Anti-inflammatory Medications: If an infection is diagnosed, antibiotics may be prescribed. Anti-inflammatory medications can help reduce pain and inflammation.

3. Pelvic Floor Therapy: If pelvic floor dysfunction is suspected, physical therapy focusing on relaxation and strengthening of the pelvic muscles can be beneficial.

4. Stress Management Techniques: Engaging in relaxation techniques such as mindfulness, yoga, or counseling can help manage anxiety and stress that may contribute to painful ejaculation.

5. Gradual Return to Sexual Activity: If the pain is associated with overstimulation, consider reducing the frequency of sexual activities and allowing time for recovery.

6. Avoiding Irritants: Be mindful of any products used during sexual activities, such as lubricants or condoms, which may cause irritation.

7. Hydration and Diet: Staying well-hydrated and maintaining a balanced diet can support overall health and potentially alleviate some symptoms.

Conclusion
Painful ejaculation can be a complex issue with multiple potential causes. While it may be tempting to self-diagnose or treat, it is essential to seek professional medical advice to ensure an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Early intervention can lead to better outcomes and help alleviate discomfort, allowing for a healthier sexual experience. If symptoms persist or worsen, do not hesitate to seek further medical attention.
