First time taking the menstrual regulation medication Divina?

Hello, I have irregular menstrual cycles and initially thought it was ovulation bleeding.
However, the bleeding lasted about 7 days, similar to my menstrual period.
I consulted a doctor who performed an ultrasound and a urine test, confirming that I am not pregnant and there are no significant issues.
It may be due to stress or poor sleep, leading to hormonal imbalance.
The doctor prescribed a menstrual regulation medication, Divina, to be taken for 11 days (white pills) and 10 days (blue pills).
Prior to starting the medication, I had abnormal bleeding for at least a week.
The doctor also prescribed a hemostatic medication for 3 days.
I would like to know if it is normal to still have bleeding on the third day of taking the medication.
Thank you.
P.S.
My last menstrual period was from April 29 to May 6, and on the night of May 4, I had a little brown discharge.
I started experiencing light bleeding from April 21 until now, and I saw the doctor on April 27, who instructed me to start taking the first pill immediately.

Irregular menstruation and abnormal bleeding can be concerning and often require careful evaluation and management. In your case, it seems that you have been experiencing prolonged bleeding, which has led you to seek medical advice. Your doctor has prescribed Divina, a medication that is often used to help regulate menstrual cycles and manage symptoms associated with hormonal imbalances.

Divina is a combination hormonal therapy that typically contains both estrogen and progestin. It is used to treat various menstrual disorders, including irregular periods, heavy menstrual bleeding, and symptoms of menopause. The goal of this treatment is to stabilize the endometrial lining and regulate the menstrual cycle, which can help reduce abnormal bleeding.

From your description, it appears that you have been experiencing irregular bleeding for an extended period, which can be attributed to several factors, including stress, sleep disturbances, and hormonal imbalances. These factors can disrupt the normal hormonal signaling that regulates the menstrual cycle, leading to irregularities.

Regarding your question about whether it is normal to continue bleeding after starting Divina, it is essential to understand that hormonal treatments can sometimes cause initial side effects, including breakthrough bleeding or spotting, especially in the first few weeks of use. This is particularly common when starting a new hormonal regimen, as your body may take time to adjust to the new hormone levels.
In your case, since you mentioned that you have been taking the medication for three days and are still experiencing bleeding, it could be a normal response to the initiation of treatment. However, if the bleeding persists or worsens, or if you experience any other concerning symptoms (such as severe pain, heavy bleeding, or signs of infection), it is crucial to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation.

It is also worth noting that the timing of your previous menstrual cycle and the nature of your bleeding (such as the coffee-colored discharge you mentioned) can provide additional context for your healthcare provider. The coffee-colored discharge may indicate older blood, which can occur with irregular bleeding patterns.

In summary, while it is not uncommon to experience some bleeding after starting Divina, it is essential to monitor the situation closely. If the bleeding continues beyond a few weeks or if you have any concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider for guidance. They may need to reassess your treatment plan or investigate further to ensure that there are no underlying issues contributing to your symptoms.
Additionally, managing stress and ensuring adequate sleep can also play a significant role in regulating your menstrual cycle. Lifestyle modifications, along with your prescribed treatment, may help improve your overall hormonal balance and menstrual regularity. Always keep an open line of communication with your healthcare provider to address any concerns and ensure that you receive the best possible care for your situation.
