Can I get pregnant?

My boyfriend touched me on March 1st, and my menstrual periods were from February 20 to February 24, April 26 to April 30, and May 25 to May 29.
I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and my periods are often irregular.
I have taken pregnancy tests 3 to 4 times, and each time showed a single line.
The most recent test was on the morning of July 5, after drinking a few sips of water before bed; could this affect the result? Also, my menstrual periods in April and May were different from before, as I didn't have blood clots and experienced less pain.
Could this be due to my family preparing herbal soups like Ba Zhen Tang or Si Wu Tang for me?
I've noticed a line in the middle of my abdomen that I found online, which says everyone has it and it becomes more noticeable with age.
Sometimes, I feel like I might be pregnant; could this just be psychological? I want to know if there is still a possibility of pregnancy.
Could my missed period be due to staying up late working on reports at the end of June? Please, doctor, I would appreciate your response.
Thank you.

Hello, the pregnancy test shows negative.
You can observe for now and wait another week.
If your period still hasn't arrived, it is recommended to see a gynecologist.
Wishing you good health.

When considering the possibility of pregnancy, especially in the context of irregular menstrual cycles and conditions like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), it is essential to understand the various factors that can influence both symptoms and test results.
Firstly, your menstrual cycle history indicates irregularity, which is common in individuals with PCOS. This condition can lead to anovulation (lack of ovulation), making it difficult to predict when your period will occur or if you are ovulating at all. The dates you provided for your menstrual cycles (February 20-24, April 26-30, and May 25-29) suggest that your cycles are not consistent, which is typical for someone with PCOS.
Regarding your concerns about pregnancy, it is important to note that home pregnancy tests are generally reliable when used correctly. However, factors such as the timing of the test, the concentration of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your urine, and even hydration levels can affect the results. For instance, if you consumed a significant amount of water before taking the test, it could dilute your urine and potentially lead to a false negative result. Ideally, pregnancy tests should be taken with first-morning urine, as it typically contains the highest concentration of hCG.

You mentioned that you have taken several tests, all of which returned negative results. If your last test was on July 5 and you have not had your period since then, it may be worth considering retesting after a few days or consulting with a healthcare provider for a blood test, which can detect lower levels of hCG than urine tests.

The changes in your menstrual flow, such as the absence of blood clots and reduced pain, could indeed be influenced by dietary changes, such as consuming herbal remedies like Ba Zhen Tang or Si Wu Tang, which are traditionally used in Chinese medicine to nourish the body and regulate menstrual cycles. However, these changes should be monitored, and if they persist or cause concern, it would be wise to discuss them with a healthcare professional.

As for the line you mentioned on your abdomen, this could be a normal physiological change known as the linea nigra, which often becomes more pronounced with age or during pregnancy. However, it is not exclusive to pregnancy and can appear in various individuals for different reasons.

Lastly, stress and lifestyle factors, such as pulling all-nighters for reports, can indeed affect your menstrual cycle. Stress can lead to hormonal imbalances that may delay your period.
In conclusion, while there is a possibility of pregnancy given your irregular cycles and the timing of your sexual activity, the consistent negative results from your tests suggest that you may not be pregnant. However, if your period does not arrive soon, or if you continue to experience symptoms that concern you, I recommend consulting with a healthcare provider. They can provide a more comprehensive evaluation, including blood tests and possibly an ultrasound, to assess your reproductive health and address any underlying issues related to PCOS or other factors affecting your menstrual cycle.
