Swelling of the glans and urethral opening?
Doctor, I visited a wellness center in July and received a hand job.
The next day, I noticed swelling at the urethral opening, and the color of the glans was unusual.
The area near the corona was somewhat red, while the part closer to the tip of the glans appeared bluish-black.
I subsequently consulted a urologist who said there seemed to be no issues, and after a urinalysis showed no signs of inflammation, I was prescribed a topical ointment.
However, this condition has not improved until now.
Recently, I have noticed slight transparent discharge in the morning.
The glans looks noticeably different compared to before the visit to the wellness center, but the doctors I consulted have all said there is no problem.
I really don't know what to do and would appreciate your help.
Thank you.

Hello: If multiple doctors say there is no problem, then there is no need to worry too much.
Wishing you good health.

More Info
Swelling at the urethral opening can be concerning, especially when accompanied by changes in color, discharge, and discomfort. Based on your description, it seems you have experienced symptoms following an incident at a wellness center, which may have contributed to your current condition. While your doctor has indicated that there is no inflammation based on urine tests, the persistence of symptoms suggests that further evaluation may be necessary.
There are several potential causes for swelling at the urethral opening and associated symptoms:
1. Infection: Even if initial tests did not show signs of infection, certain infections may not always be detectable through standard urine tests. Conditions such as urethritis (inflammation of the urethra) can be caused by sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like chlamydia or gonorrhea, which may require specific tests to diagnose.
2. Irritation or Trauma: The activity you described could lead to irritation or minor trauma to the urethra or surrounding tissues. This can result in swelling, discoloration, and discomfort. If the irritation persists, it may lead to chronic inflammation.
3. Allergic Reaction: Sometimes, products used during sexual activity, such as lubricants or condoms, can cause allergic reactions or irritations, leading to swelling and changes in color.
4. Peyronie's Disease: Although less common, this condition involves the development of fibrous scar tissue inside the penis, which can cause changes in shape and color, as well as pain during erections.
5. Lichen Sclerosus or Other Dermatological Conditions: Skin conditions affecting the genital area can also lead to changes in color and texture. These conditions may require a dermatological evaluation for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Given that your symptoms have not improved and you are experiencing new symptoms such as discharge, it is advisable to seek a second opinion from a urologist or a specialist in sexual health. They may recommend further diagnostic tests, such as:
- Swab Tests: To check for STIs or other infections that may not be evident in urine tests.
- Ultrasound: To assess for any structural abnormalities or issues within the penis or surrounding tissues.
- Cystoscopy: A procedure that allows direct visualization of the urethra and bladder, which can help identify any abnormalities.
In the meantime, consider the following self-care measures:
- Avoid Irritants: Refrain from using any products that may irritate the genital area, including scented soaps or lotions.
- Maintain Hygiene: Keep the area clean and dry to prevent further irritation.
- Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any changes in symptoms, including the nature of the discharge, pain levels, and any new developments.
It is essential to communicate openly with your healthcare provider about your concerns and the persistence of your symptoms. If necessary, advocate for further testing or referrals to ensure that you receive appropriate care. Remember, your health and comfort are paramount, and seeking clarity on your condition is a vital step toward recovery.
