Itchy deep inside the ear while sleeping?
Hello, sometimes I experience intense itching deep inside my right ear while sleeping, and swallowing increases the itchiness.
During these episodes, using an ear pick to reach deeper areas causes pain, but the itching sensation feels significantly deeper.
It tends to subside more quickly after a strong cough or sneeze.
What could be the possible cause? I previously visited a clinic where they suggested it might be caused by a fungal infection and prescribed an ointment, but there has been no improvement.
Additionally, I have a history of nasal allergies and I usually sleep on my right side.
