Decreased frequency of erections?
I have a problem with masturbation addiction.
I used to do it twice a day, and sometimes even 3-4 times a day.
Once, while I was in the middle of it, I felt something strange in my lower left abdomen, which I can't quite describe.
I didn't think much of it at the time, but recently my libido has suddenly decreased.
I don't feel like masturbating at night, and I haven't had morning erections either.
After I do masturbate, I find that I can't maintain an erection like I used to.
I tried to abstain for a day, but the next day my ejaculation volume was very low; previously, if I abstained for a day, I would ejaculate a lot.
Additionally, there is no pain in my lower left abdomen, but I have been taking medication for a cold these past few days.
Other than that, there are no unusual symptoms.
I usually have a light diet and maintain a habit of exercising.

Understanding decreased libido and erectile issues can be complex and multifactorial. From a urology perspective, various factors can contribute to these symptoms, including psychological, physiological, and lifestyle influences.
Firstly, it's important to recognize that sexual health is influenced by both physical and mental well-being. Psychological factors such as stress, anxiety, and depression can significantly impact libido and erectile function. In your case, the sudden decrease in sexual desire and the changes in erectile function may be related to psychological stressors or emotional factors, particularly if you have been experiencing changes in your routine or mental state.
Physiologically, the body undergoes various changes that can affect sexual function. For instance, hormonal imbalances, particularly low testosterone levels, can lead to decreased libido and erectile dysfunction. Testosterone is crucial for sexual desire and the ability to achieve and maintain an erection. If you have experienced significant stress or changes in your lifestyle, such as increased frequency of masturbation, this could potentially lead to temporary hormonal fluctuations.
Additionally, the frequency of masturbation you mentioned (3-4 times a day) could also play a role. While masturbation is a normal sexual activity, excessive frequency can sometimes lead to temporary desensitization, where the body may require more stimulation to achieve the same level of arousal. This could explain the changes you've noticed in your sexual response and the volume of ejaculate.
Moreover, the fact that you experienced a strange sensation in your left lower abdomen could indicate a physical issue that may need further evaluation. Although you mentioned that there is no pain, any unusual sensations should not be overlooked. Conditions such as varicocele (enlargement of veins within the scrotum) or other testicular issues can sometimes lead to discomfort and may affect sexual function. It would be advisable to consult a urologist for a thorough examination to rule out any underlying physical conditions.
Regarding your recent illness and medication, certain medications can also impact libido and erectile function. If you have been taking medication for a cold or other ailments, it is worth discussing with your healthcare provider whether these could be contributing to your symptoms.
In terms of lifestyle factors, maintaining a balanced diet and regular exercise is beneficial for overall health, including sexual health. However, if you find that your symptoms persist, it may be helpful to explore stress management techniques, such as mindfulness or counseling, to address any psychological components that may be affecting your libido and erectile function.
In summary, decreased libido and erectile issues can stem from a combination of psychological, physiological, and lifestyle factors. It is essential to approach this issue holistically, considering both mental and physical health. If symptoms continue or worsen, seeking professional medical advice is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment. A urologist can provide a comprehensive evaluation and recommend appropriate interventions to help restore your sexual health.
