Blood is only present when wiping?
Hello, I previously had issues with mixed hemorrhoids, and the external hemorrhoids have been treated.
I usually do not see blood when using the restroom, and there is no visible blood in my urine.
However, now I notice a faint trace of blood when I wipe after urination, and on another occasion, I found a more noticeable drop of blood, also after wiping.
Currently, I do not experience any pain.
I did wipe quite hard with toilet paper, which may have caused a very slight amount of blood.
I have been exercising recently, but when I am out, I tend to drink less water, although I usually consume about 1500cc of water daily.
Additionally, I often have issues with constipation.
I would like to inquire about what this situation might indicate.

You may be referring to issues with the urethra, vagina, and anus! It is recommended to have an outpatient examination to determine the location of the lesion.

Hello! Thank you for your question regarding the presence of light blood after wiping, especially in the context of your previous issues with mixed hemorrhoids. It's understandable to be concerned about any blood you notice, even if it seems minor.
Based on your description, there are several potential causes for the light blood you see after wiping. Given your history of mixed hemorrhoids, it's possible that the blood could be related to that condition. Hemorrhoids can cause bleeding, especially if there is straining during bowel movements or if the area is irritated. Even if you are not currently experiencing pain, hemorrhoids can still bleed intermittently, particularly after wiping.
Another possibility is that the blood could be coming from a small fissure or tear in the anal area, which can occur due to constipation or straining. These fissures can be quite painful, but sometimes they may not cause significant discomfort, especially if they are small.
Additionally, you mentioned that you have been drinking less water while exercising. Dehydration can lead to harder stools, which can exacerbate constipation and increase the likelihood of straining during bowel movements. This, in turn, can lead to bleeding from hemorrhoids or anal fissures.
It's also worth considering other potential causes, such as infections or other gastrointestinal issues, but these are less common if you have a clear history of hemorrhoids and no other symptoms like pain or significant changes in bowel habits.
In terms of what you should do next, here are some recommendations:
1. Hydration: Ensure you are drinking enough water throughout the day, especially when exercising. Aim for at least 2 liters (about 8 cups) of water daily, adjusting based on your activity level and climate.
2. Diet: Incorporate more fiber into your diet to help prevent constipation. Foods rich in fiber include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. If necessary, consider a fiber supplement.
3. Gentle Wiping: Be gentle when wiping to avoid further irritation. You might consider using moist wipes instead of toilet paper, as they can be less abrasive.
4. Monitor Symptoms: Keep an eye on the bleeding. If it persists, increases in volume, or is accompanied by pain, changes in bowel habits, or any other concerning symptoms, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional.
5. Consult a Doctor: Since you have a history of hemorrhoids, it may be beneficial to follow up with your healthcare provider or a gastroenterologist. They can perform a thorough examination to rule out any other potential causes of the bleeding and provide appropriate treatment options.
In summary, while the light blood you are experiencing could be related to your previous hemorrhoid issues or minor anal fissures, it is important to monitor the situation closely. Maintaining proper hydration and a high-fiber diet can help manage your symptoms. However, if the bleeding continues or worsens, seeking medical advice is essential for proper diagnosis and treatment.
