Prepuce issues and penile problems?
Hello, I have phimosis but can easily retract the foreskin to expose the glans.
I also maintain hygiene during my daily showers.
About ten days ago, I masturbated, and the next day while showering, I noticed two or three raised bumps beneath the foreskin at the corona.
These bumps do not resemble pearly penile papules or ectopic sebaceous glands; instead, they protrude from inside the foreskin.
After cleaning, I do not immediately retract the foreskin but wait until it dries before doing so.
I am unsure if this has caused any vascular issues.
This condition has persisted for over ten days without any topical treatment, and there are no signs of resolution.
The raised areas are not red, do not have pus, and are neither painful nor itchy.
Since this occurrence, I have not engaged in masturbation or ejaculation, although I have watched videos and experienced erections.
I have no partner and have not engaged in sexual intercourse.
I would like to ask the doctor what this condition might be, what implications it may have, and whether I can apply a topical ointment to see if there is any improvement.

Hello: It is not growing on the surface of the foreskin, but rather protruding from inside.
It is advisable to seek medical evaluation, as it does not seem to be caused by blood flow.
It is not recommended to apply ointment first.
Wishing you good health.

Understanding bumps under the foreskin can be concerning, especially when they appear unexpectedly. Based on your description, it seems you have noticed a few raised bumps located beneath the foreskin, specifically in the area of the corona. These bumps are not painful, itchy, or red, which is a positive sign, but their persistence for over ten days without any signs of improvement warrants further attention.
There are several potential causes for the bumps you are experiencing. One possibility is that they could be related to the natural anatomy of the genital area. For instance, the presence of sebaceous glands (oil glands) or other normal anatomical variations can sometimes appear as small bumps. However, since you mentioned that these bumps are not typical pearly penile papules or ectopic sebaceous glands, it is essential to consider other factors.
Another possibility is that the bumps could be a result of irritation or inflammation. If the foreskin is not returned to its normal position promptly after cleaning, it may lead to temporary swelling or irritation due to prolonged exposure to moisture or friction. This could potentially affect blood flow in the area, leading to the formation of bumps. However, since you have been maintaining hygiene and have not experienced any pain or discomfort, this seems less likely.
In some cases, bumps under the foreskin can be indicative of a benign condition such as a cyst or a mild infection. While you have not observed any redness, swelling, or discharge, it is still advisable to monitor the situation closely. If the bumps do not resolve on their own or if you notice any changes, such as increased size, pain, or discharge, it would be prudent to seek medical evaluation.
As for the use of topical medications, it is generally not recommended to apply any creams or ointments without a proper diagnosis. Some topical treatments can cause further irritation or allergic reactions, especially in sensitive areas. Instead, it would be best to consult with a healthcare professional who can provide a thorough examination and determine the appropriate course of action.
In summary, while the bumps you are experiencing may not be immediately concerning given their lack of symptoms, it is essential to keep an eye on them. If they persist or worsen, seeking medical advice is the best course of action. A healthcare provider can offer a definitive diagnosis and appropriate treatment options, ensuring your health and peace of mind. Remember, maintaining good hygiene and being aware of any changes in your body are crucial steps in managing your health effectively.
