There is a small, transparent, round bump on the cornea?

I apologize for any difficulty in expressing my situation clearly.
I'm not sure if the doctor will understand the following description.
Recently, over the past week, while showering, I noticed that the raised area at the very top of my urethral opening seems to have flattened (it feels like the prominence of the meatus has decreased).
It seems that there used to be more prominent areas around the urethral opening, but now it feels like some areas have flattened.
I haven't really examined it closely before, but while looking at it this week during my shower, I can't tell if I'm being overly sensitive, but it just looks strange to me.
I can't determine if it appears flattened due to swelling or if the top of the urethral opening has actually changed.
I would like to ask if there are any potential reasons that could cause this situation.
I couldn't find any similar cases online.

Additionally, I would like to mention another issue: there is a very small, transparent, raised bump on the meatus, and the area underneath it is red.
I previously suspected that I had balanitis, so I consulted a urologist, but I'm not sure if the doctor overlooked the transparent bump or if it is considered normal.
After the examination, the doctor said there were no issues.
I don't quite remember when the bump first appeared, but I have a recollection that it has been there for at least over a year.
I'm unsure if this situation is normal.

Hello: If you notice any abnormalities, you should consult a urologist for an examination.
This situation is not uncommon; some may just be cysts, while others may fall within the normal range.
Wishing you good health.

When it comes to changes in the appearance of the urethral opening, particularly in the glans penis (the tip of the penis), there are several factors to consider. Your observations about the changes in the urethral meatus (the opening) and the presence of a transparent bump can be concerning, and it's important to understand the potential causes and implications.

Firstly, the flattening of the urethral opening that you described could be due to a variety of reasons. One possibility is that it could be a normal anatomical variation or a result of changes in the skin or underlying tissue. The skin around the urethral opening can change due to factors such as hormonal fluctuations, skin conditions, or even irritation from soaps or hygiene products. If you have been more attentive to the area recently, it’s possible that you are noticing changes that have always been there but went unnoticed.

Another potential cause for the change in appearance could be related to inflammation or irritation. Conditions such as balanitis (inflammation of the glans) or urethritis (inflammation of the urethra) can lead to changes in the appearance of the urethral opening. While you mentioned that you previously suspected balanitis and consulted a urologist, it’s important to note that sometimes these conditions can be subtle and may not always be easily diagnosed during a routine examination.

Regarding the transparent bump you mentioned, it is not uncommon for individuals to have small, benign cysts or sebaceous glands in that area. These can appear as small, clear bumps and are usually harmless. However, if the bump has changed in size, color, or if you experience any discomfort, it would be wise to seek a follow-up evaluation with a healthcare provider. Sometimes, conditions like pearly penile papules, which are normal anatomical variations, can also be mistaken for something concerning.

If you are experiencing any additional symptoms such as pain, itching, discharge, or changes in urination, these could indicate a more significant issue that warrants further investigation. In such cases, a thorough examination by a urologist is essential. They may perform additional tests, such as a urinalysis or imaging studies, to rule out any underlying conditions.

It's also worth mentioning that anxiety and hyper-awareness about bodily changes can sometimes lead to misinterpretation of normal variations. If you have a history of health anxiety, it might be beneficial to discuss these feelings with a mental health professional, as they can help you manage your concerns and provide coping strategies.

In summary, while changes in the appearance of the urethral opening can be concerning, they are often benign and can result from various factors. If you remain worried about the changes you are observing, or if you notice any new symptoms, I encourage you to consult with a urologist for a comprehensive evaluation. They can provide reassurance, clarify any uncertainties, and ensure that your urinary and reproductive health is in good standing.
