After using Ning Shutang, Jingliangdian eye drops, and Tebimai, my vision has become blurry?
Due to eye fatigue, I was originally using Ningshutong four times a day and applying Tobramycin before bed.
Around 3 to 4 AM, I applied Ningshutong before sleeping, but then felt itchy in my eyes and couldn't sleep, so I used a cooling eye drop, followed by Tobramycin.
I spaced the three applications five minutes apart.
When I woke up around 11 AM, I noticed that my left eye's vision was normal, but my right eye became blurry starting from about one meter away, making it difficult to see clearly.
Here are the ingredients listed on the eye drop bottle: Each 100ml Contains: Naphazoline Hydrochloride 3mg, Neostigmine Methylsulphate 5mg, ε-aminocaproic acid 1000mg, Chlorpheniramine Maleate 30mg, Panthenol 100mg, Taurine (Aminoethylsulfonic Acid) 500mg.
Will this situation resolve on its own?

Hello, Tiger Sister: Eye drops should not cause poor vision.
If your vision does not improve, I recommend that you see an ophthalmologist for an examination.

More Info
Blurred vision after using eye drops can be concerning, especially when it affects your daily activities. Based on your description, it seems that you have been using multiple eye drops, including Ningshu Tong, which is likely a lubricating or anti-allergy drop, and Tobramycin (特比邁), an antibiotic. The combination of these drops, especially when used in close succession, may lead to temporary blurred vision due to several factors.
Possible Causes of Blurred Vision After Using Eye Drops:
1. Chemical Irritation: The ingredients in the eye drops, such as Naphazoline Hydrochloride (a decongestant), can cause temporary irritation or dryness in the eyes, leading to blurred vision. This is particularly true if the drops are used excessively or in combination with other medications.
2. Inadequate Tear Film Stability: If the eye drops disrupt the natural tear film, it can lead to fluctuations in vision clarity. This can happen if the drops are not adequately absorbed or if they wash away the natural tears, resulting in dryness and blurred vision.
3. Overuse of Eye Drops: Using multiple types of eye drops in a short period can lead to a buildup of preservatives or active ingredients in the eye, which may cause temporary visual disturbances.
4. Underlying Conditions: If you have pre-existing conditions such as dry eye syndrome or other ocular surface diseases, the use of certain eye drops may exacerbate these conditions, leading to blurred vision.
Recovery Tips:
1. Wait and Observe: In many cases, blurred vision after using eye drops can resolve on its own within a few hours. If your vision does not improve or worsens, it is essential to seek medical attention.
2. Avoid Further Irritation: Give your eyes a break from additional eye drops unless prescribed by your doctor. Overusing drops can lead to further irritation.
3. Use Artificial Tears: If dryness is a concern, consider using preservative-free artificial tears to help stabilize the tear film and provide lubrication.
4. Consult an Eye Care Professional: If the blurred vision persists, it is crucial to consult with an eye care professional. They can evaluate your eyes for any underlying issues and determine if the eye drops are appropriate for your condition.
5. Proper Administration: Ensure that you are administering the eye drops correctly. Wait at least 5-10 minutes between different types of drops to allow for absorption and minimize the risk of interaction.
6. Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any additional symptoms, such as redness, pain, or discharge, which may indicate an adverse reaction or infection.
Conclusion:
In summary, while it is possible that your blurred vision may resolve naturally, it is essential to monitor your symptoms closely. If the condition persists or worsens, do not hesitate to seek professional advice. Eye health is crucial, and timely intervention can prevent further complications. Always follow the guidance of your healthcare provider regarding the use of eye drops and any other treatments for your eyes.
