Treatment for Respiratory Compulsion Disorder


After receiving my third vaccine dose, I became concerned about potential side effects, which led me to continuously monitor my blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and other vital signs.
After some time, I noticed symptoms resembling obsessive-compulsive disorder related to breathing.
During this period, I experienced a few instances where I felt like I couldn't catch my breath and was on the verge of losing control.
Although removing myself from the situation helped calm my emotions temporarily, I later visited two mental health clinics and was diagnosed with mild anxiety rather than any information related to breathing-related obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Additionally, after taking medication prescribed by the first clinic before bed, I woke up feeling extremely dizzy the next day, which persisted until the following day before gradually easing.
This experience made me hesitant to take medication again.
I researched online and found that medication primarily alleviates physical and mental discomfort rather than treating the underlying condition itself, which left me uncertain about whether I should take medication and how to effectively treat my symptoms.
I hope to find a clear direction.
