Sleep and memory issues?
I have several questions and I'm not sure which specialty to consult, so I'll start with the memory issues.
Since high school, I have noticed a significant decline in my memory.
I struggle to remember vocabulary and texts, and I often forget what I or others just said immediately, which severely affects my daily life and academic performance.
However, due to pressure from my parents, I have not sought an evaluation.
I would like to know if this is something that can be treated and which specialty would be best to consult.
Regarding sleep issues, for the past two to three years, I have frequently experienced sleep paralysis.
Although I do not have auditory or visual hallucinations, I am completely unable to move and have difficulty breathing.
Additionally, I often have nightmares; I can remember the content of my nightmares almost every time I wake up.
These nightmares are usually a recurring set of about ten different scenarios, and sometimes new plotlines or characters are added to the original dreams.
Recently, the situation has become very severe, as I have had nightmares for an entire week, leading to a fear of sleeping.
When I close my eyes, I immediately recall the previous nightmare, making it difficult to fall asleep.
