Uneven Testicles: Potential Health Concerns - Urology

The testicles are irregular or uneven?

While showering, I noticed that both of my testicles have some slight indentations and an uneven surface, resembling a chewed grape.
I have a high frequency of masturbation, about once (or more) a day or once every two days.
I'm unsure if this is related to any potential cancer changes, and I haven't found any relevant experiences.
Therefore, I would like to ask the doctor, thank you!

Hello: Detailed examinations are necessary for cancer.
However, it is unusual for abnormalities to occur on both sides; typically, they happen on one side.
If there are any abnormalities, it is advisable to consult a urologist at the hospital.
Wishing you good health.

When it comes to the health of your testicles, noticing any changes in their shape or texture can understandably cause concern. Uneven testicles, or testicular asymmetry, is relatively common and can occur for a variety of reasons. It is important to understand the potential health implications and when to seek medical advice.

Firstly, it is essential to recognize that testicular asymmetry is often normal. Most men have one testicle that is slightly larger or hangs lower than the other. This natural variation can be influenced by factors such as anatomy and hormonal levels. However, if you notice new changes, such as a significant difference in size, shape, or texture, it is crucial to pay attention to these signs.

The description of your testicles feeling somewhat "dented" or uneven, resembling "bitten grapes," could be indicative of several benign conditions. One common cause of testicular irregularities is the presence of a hydrocele, which is a fluid-filled sac surrounding the testicle. Hydroceles can cause swelling and may lead to a feeling of heaviness or discomfort. Another possibility is a varicocele, which is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum and can sometimes create a lumpy or uneven appearance.

While these conditions are generally not serious, it is essential to rule out more concerning issues, such as testicular cancer. Testicular cancer is relatively rare but can occur, especially in younger men. Symptoms may include a lump or swelling in the testicle, a change in size or shape, or discomfort. The fact that you have been frequently engaging in masturbation does not directly correlate with an increased risk of testicular cancer; however, any persistent changes should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

If you are experiencing any additional symptoms, such as pain, swelling, or changes in urination, it is advisable to seek medical attention promptly. A healthcare provider can perform a physical examination and may recommend an ultrasound to assess the structure of the testicles and identify any abnormalities.

In conclusion, while uneven testicles can be a normal variation, any new changes in size, shape, or texture warrant a thorough evaluation by a healthcare professional. It is always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to your health. Regular self-examinations can help you become familiar with your body and detect any changes early. If you have concerns about testicular health, do not hesitate to reach out to a urologist or your primary care physician for further assessment and peace of mind.

Based on the symptoms you described, the most likely diagnosis is left-sided scrotal varicocele. You will need to see a urologist for a proper diagnosis. This condition does not affect sexual function, but it may have an impact on fertility.
