Can I still get pregnant this way? Can I be assured?

Hello, doctor.
I have been asking questions these past few days.
On September 1, 2, and 5, I had intimate contact with a girl.
She took three pregnancy tests before her expected period on September 10, and she only showed signs of menstruation on the night of September 13.
The flow increased gradually, and yesterday she started passing blood clots.
When the blood clots appeared, she also felt more abdominal discomfort and lower back pain.
She took a pregnancy test yesterday morning, which was negative.
Although her period had started, she tested again after cleaning the area.
This morning, she tested again using a Mentholatum pregnancy test stick (with morning urine), which is said to be very accurate and sensitive, and it was also negative.
About six hours later, there was still only one line.
However, she has been experiencing stomach discomfort, feeling like something is blocking her, and has had occasional headaches that do not persist.
Could this be due to pregnancy, or is it more likely related to hormonal changes or anxiety? Today marks the fourth day of her period.
On the day she had signs of menstruation, the flow was very light.
In the morning, there was some blood when she wiped, but her pad did not absorb any new blood.
When wiping, the blood appeared dark red with some clots, and now it looks light pink.
Given that she has taken five pregnancy tests and her period seems to be normal, does she need to test again? Since the intimate contact was about two weeks ago, can we conclude that she is not pregnant? Is the stomach discomfort due to other reasons? Please help, doctor.
Thank you for your hard work.
She is really very anxious and nervous.

More Info

When it comes to determining whether you are pregnant, it can be a complex process, especially when you are experiencing symptoms that could be attributed to either premenstrual syndrome (PMS) or early pregnancy. Based on the information you've provided, it seems that you have been actively monitoring your menstrual cycle and have taken multiple pregnancy tests, all of which have returned negative results.
Firstly, let's discuss the timing of your tests. Pregnancy tests are most accurate when taken after a missed period. Since you mentioned that your period was expected on September 10 and you began to see signs of menstruation on September 13, it is possible that you tested too early. The hormone hCG, which is what pregnancy tests detect, typically becomes detectable in urine about 14 days after conception. If you tested before this time, it could lead to a false negative result.

You also mentioned experiencing symptoms such as abdominal discomfort, feelings of nausea, and headaches. These symptoms can indeed be associated with both PMS and early pregnancy. PMS can cause a variety of physical and emotional symptoms due to hormonal fluctuations, which can sometimes mimic early pregnancy symptoms. The fact that you are now on your fourth day of what appears to be your menstrual period, along with the negative pregnancy tests, suggests that it is less likely you are pregnant.

Regarding the bleeding you described, it is important to note that some women experience light bleeding or spotting during early pregnancy, but this is usually accompanied by other signs of pregnancy. Since you have been experiencing what seems to be a normal menstrual flow, it is more likely that this is your period rather than implantation bleeding.

If you are still feeling anxious about the possibility of being pregnant, it may be helpful to consult with a healthcare provider. They can perform a blood test, which is more sensitive than a urine test and can detect pregnancy earlier. Additionally, they can help assess your symptoms and determine if there are other underlying causes for your discomfort, such as hormonal imbalances or gastrointestinal issues.

In summary, based on the information you've provided, it seems that the likelihood of pregnancy is low given the negative tests and the onset of your menstrual period. However, if your symptoms persist or worsen, or if you have any further concerns, seeking medical advice would be a prudent step. Remember, it's important to take care of your mental health as well; anxiety can exacerbate physical symptoms, so finding ways to manage stress during this time is crucial.
