A patch of yellow skin with black spots?

There is a yellow-green patch of skin on my body that appears yellow with black spots.
The black spots become more noticeable when I stretch the skin, but they don't look very dark, and there are many of them.
The location is on the right side of my waist, and the spots are flat without any elevation.
I just noticed this suddenly, and it seems to have appeared recently.
I've been going to bed around 1 AM lately, whereas I usually sleep around midnight.
I drink more than 3000 milliliters of water daily.
For lunch today, I had dried plum rice and apple-flavored cola.

When it comes to skin issues such as yellowish skin with black spots, it's essential to approach the situation with a thorough understanding of dermatological principles. The symptoms you've described—yellowish skin with black spots that become more pronounced when the skin is stretched—can be indicative of several underlying conditions, and it's crucial to consider various factors that could contribute to these changes.

Firstly, the yellowish tint of the skin can be attributed to a few potential causes. One common reason for yellowish skin is the accumulation of carotenoids, which can occur from excessive consumption of certain foods rich in beta-carotene, such as carrots, sweet potatoes, and other orange or yellow fruits and vegetables. This condition, known as carotenemia, is generally harmless and can be resolved by adjusting your diet. However, if the yellowing is accompanied by other symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes, it could indicate a more serious condition, such as jaundice, which is often related to liver dysfunction.

The presence of black spots on the skin, particularly if they are flat and not raised, could be related to a variety of benign skin conditions. One possibility is the development of lentigines, commonly known as age spots or liver spots, which are flat, brown, or black spots that appear on sun-exposed areas of the skin due to UV exposure over time. Another possibility is the presence of seborrheic keratosis, which are non-cancerous growths that can appear as brown, black, or light tan spots on the skin. These are also generally harmless but can be bothersome from a cosmetic perspective.

Given that you mentioned these spots are more visible when the skin is stretched, it could also suggest that they are related to changes in skin texture or pigmentation that occur with stretching or pulling of the skin. This could be due to factors such as weight fluctuations, hormonal changes, or even skin conditions like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which can occur after skin irritation or injury.

It's important to note that lifestyle factors, such as sleep patterns and hydration, can also impact skin health. Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to a dull complexion and exacerbate skin issues, while adequate hydration is essential for maintaining skin elasticity and overall health. The diet you mentioned, including the consumption of pickled foods and flavored sodas, may not provide the necessary nutrients for optimal skin health, so consider incorporating a balanced diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

In summary, while the symptoms you've described may not be immediately alarming, they warrant further investigation, especially if they persist or worsen. It is advisable to consult a dermatologist who can perform a thorough examination and possibly recommend diagnostic tests to rule out any underlying conditions. They can provide tailored advice and treatment options based on a comprehensive assessment of your skin and overall health. In the meantime, consider maintaining a balanced diet, ensuring adequate sleep, and protecting your skin from excessive sun exposure to promote better skin health.
