Regarding contraceptive devices?
I removed my IUD on August 14 and took medication for 5 days, but my original period was due on August 19.
Will my menstruation still come around that time? Currently, I am still experiencing bleeding and cannot distinguish whether it is from the removal or my menstrual cycle.
I seek clarification, thank you.

Hello, using a contraceptive device generally does not affect menstruation.
It is possible that your period is about to start, so just observe.
Wishing you good health.

More Info
After the removal of an intrauterine device (IUD), it is common for women to experience changes in their menstrual cycle. The timing and nature of your menstrual bleeding can be influenced by several factors, including hormonal changes, the type of IUD you had, and your individual body response.
When an IUD is removed, the body may take some time to readjust to its natural hormonal cycle. If you had a hormonal IUD, it may have suppressed your natural menstrual cycle while it was in place. After removal, your body may need time to re-establish its normal hormonal balance, which can lead to irregular bleeding or spotting. This could explain the bleeding you are experiencing now, which may be a combination of post-removal bleeding and your expected menstrual period.
In your case, since you removed the IUD on August 14 and your expected period was around August 19, it is possible that the bleeding you are experiencing is indeed your menstrual cycle starting, albeit potentially altered by the recent removal of the IUD. It is not uncommon for women to have some irregularities in their cycle immediately following IUD removal, including changes in flow, duration, and timing of their periods.
If you are experiencing prolonged bleeding or if the bleeding is significantly heavier than your normal menstrual flow, it is advisable to consult with your healthcare provider. They can help determine whether what you are experiencing is typical post-IUD removal bleeding or if there is another underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
In summary, after IUD removal, it is normal to experience some changes in your menstrual cycle, including irregular bleeding. The bleeding you are experiencing could be a mix of post-removal bleeding and your expected period. If you have concerns about the nature of your bleeding or if it continues for an extended period, it would be wise to seek medical advice to ensure everything is progressing normally.
