Discomfort after ejaculation?

Hello Doctor, I have two questions to ask:
1.
On Sunday, I masturbated twice without any issues.
However, today after masturbating for the second time, I felt a brief pain at the urethral opening after using the restroom, but it went away in a few minutes.
Could this be caused by excessive masturbation?
2.
I have often experienced a burning sensation when urinating after masturbation, but this sensation disappeared after the second time today.
Is this normal? A few months ago, I had a urinalysis that came back normal.

Discomfort after ejaculation can be a concerning issue for many individuals, and it is important to understand the potential causes and implications of such symptoms. Based on your description, it seems you are experiencing discomfort in the urethra after masturbation, which can manifest as pain or a burning sensation during urination. Let's address your questions one by one.

1. Pain After Masturbation: Experiencing pain at the urethral opening after masturbation, especially if it occurs after multiple sessions in a short period, can be attributed to several factors. One common reason is irritation or inflammation of the urethra, which can occur due to friction during masturbation. If you are engaging in vigorous or prolonged masturbation, it may lead to temporary discomfort or soreness. Additionally, the frequency of ejaculation can also play a role; excessive stimulation may lead to a temporary increase in sensitivity or irritation.
It is also worth considering that if you are using any lubricants or substances during masturbation, these could potentially cause irritation or an allergic reaction. If the pain persists or is accompanied by other symptoms such as swelling, discharge, or persistent burning during urination, it would be advisable to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.

2. Burning Sensation During Urination: The burning sensation you describe after ejaculation is not uncommon and can be related to several factors. As you mentioned, you have had a normal urinalysis in the past few months, which is reassuring. However, a burning sensation can sometimes indicate mild irritation of the urethra or urinary tract, especially if it occurs consistently after sexual activity or masturbation.
In some cases, this sensation can be linked to conditions such as urethritis (inflammation of the urethra), which can be caused by infections or irritants. It is also possible that the sensation is related to the contraction of the pelvic muscles during ejaculation, which can lead to temporary discomfort.
If the burning sensation is intermittent and resolves quickly, it may not be a cause for concern. However, if it becomes more frequent, lasts longer, or is associated with other symptoms (such as blood in the urine, fever, or persistent pain), it would be prudent to seek medical advice.
In summary, while occasional discomfort after ejaculation can be normal, especially after frequent masturbation, it is essential to monitor your symptoms. If you notice any significant changes, persistent discomfort, or additional symptoms, it is advisable to consult a urologist or healthcare provider. They can perform a thorough evaluation, including a physical examination and possibly further testing, to rule out any underlying conditions and provide appropriate treatment or recommendations.
Maintaining good hygiene, using adequate lubrication, and being mindful of the frequency and intensity of masturbation can help reduce the risk of irritation. If you have any concerns about your sexual health or experience ongoing discomfort, do not hesitate to reach out to a healthcare professional for personalized advice and support.
