Abnormal blood sugar issues?
Hello doctor, I have a habit of monitoring my blood sugar levels.
Previously, my fasting blood sugar in the morning was consistently between 88 and 96.
However, yesterday it suddenly rose to 104.
I tested it twice more, getting readings of 100 and 103.
After lunch and dinner, my postprandial readings were 122 and 126, respectively.
The next morning, my fasting blood sugar was 98 and then 94, which is back to normal, but 98 seems a bit high.
What could be causing the abnormal fasting levels in the morning? Could it be due to consuming too many carbohydrates at dinner the night before? Or is it related to the growth hormone secretion in adolescents that can raise blood sugar levels? Should I be concerned that if I am slightly careless with my diet, my blood sugar will spike and not come down?
