Hello Doctor, I am 21 years old and have been experiencing frequent abdominal rumbling recently.
My bowel habits have changed; yesterday I had two stools that were flattened at the ends, and today I had one larger stool followed by a slightly smaller one.
The stools were yellow with some white mixed in, and the surface had a shiny, mucus-like appearance.
One of the stools was somewhat loose and had visible remnants.
Could this be irritable bowel syndrome? I have been taking probiotics, which seem to help a bit sometimes.
