Could you please provide more details or specify your question?
Hello doctor, I have a question.
Recently, I feel like I can't completely dry off after urinating, which causes my underwear to feel wet when I put on my pants.
It's uncomfortable, and I sometimes have to touch myself to relieve the discomfort.
Can you tell me what this might be? Also, I sometimes notice small white and red bumps on the surface of my glans (I haven't had sexual intercourse yet).
I'm worried it might be HIV.
Please help me with these concerns; I'm feeling very anxious and it's affecting my mental health.
Am I overthinking this? Thank you.

It sounds like you're experiencing some distressing symptoms related to your urological health, and it's understandable to feel anxious about these issues. Let's break down your concerns and provide some clarity.
Firstly, the sensation of not being able to fully empty your bladder can be quite uncomfortable and may lead to feelings of frustration. This sensation can be caused by a variety of factors, including urinary tract infections (UTIs), inflammation, or even anatomical issues. It's important to note that if you're feeling like your bladder isn't emptying completely, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional who can perform the necessary examinations and tests to determine the underlying cause.
The issue of feeling wet after urination, as you described, could also be related to how the urinary system functions. Sometimes, residual urine can remain in the urethra after urination, leading to the sensation of not being completely dry. This can be particularly common in younger males and can often be resolved with proper techniques for urination. However, if this continues to be a problem, it would be beneficial to discuss it with a doctor.
Regarding the appearance of white or red spots on the glans (the head of the penis), this could be a sign of several conditions, including infections, irritation, or other dermatological issues. Conditions such as balanitis (inflammation of the glans) can cause redness and discomfort, and it's not uncommon for individuals to experience these symptoms, especially if there is a lack of proper hygiene or if there is an allergic reaction to soaps or other products. Again, a healthcare provider can give you a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
Your concern about HIV is understandable, especially if you're experiencing symptoms that are causing you distress. However, it's important to remember that HIV is transmitted through specific routes, primarily through unprotected sexual contact, sharing needles, or from mother to child during childbirth. If you have not engaged in any of these activities, your risk of contracting HIV is significantly lower. If you're feeling anxious about this, consider getting tested for peace of mind, as knowing your status can help alleviate some of your worries.
Lastly, it's crucial to address the emotional toll that these physical symptoms are having on you. Anxiety and worry about health can lead to feelings of depression or hopelessness, especially if you feel like you're not getting the answers you need. It's important to talk to someone about how you're feeling, whether that's a trusted friend, family member, or a mental health professional. They can provide support and help you navigate these feelings.
In summary, while the symptoms you're experiencing can be concerning, many of them are treatable, and it's essential to seek medical advice to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. Don't hesitate to reach out to a healthcare provider who can guide you through this process. Taking care of both your physical and mental health is vital, and there are resources available to help you manage both aspects.
