Please help me, Dr. Lai?

Due to my long-term sexual activity and masturbation, I have developed a phenomenon of "bruising" on both sides of my glans.
Recently, after sexual intercourse, my foreskin has been pulled down and is now at its lowest point.
In addition to seeing the glans, I can also see the tissue beneath it.
Doctor, could this be a result of my vigorous sexual activity causing the foreskin to be pulled down? Please help me.

Dr. Lai Ronghao reply Urology

Mr.
Wang: Hello! Generally, individuals with a foreskin are more prone to the situation you mentioned.
It is best to visit an outpatient clinic for an examination to check for any signs of phimosis.
Sincerely, Dr.
Lai Rong-Hao, Director of Urology, Hsinchu Hospital, Department of Health, Executive Yuan.

Understanding penile skin changes can be a complex issue, particularly when it involves symptoms such as changes in the appearance of the skin, discomfort, or alterations in the anatomy of the penis. In your case, it sounds like you are experiencing some changes that may be related to sexual activity and possibly friction or trauma to the area.

Firstly, the phenomenon you describe as "淤清" (which could be interpreted as discoloration or bruising) on the sides of the glans (the head of the penis) may be due to repeated friction or trauma during sexual activity or masturbation. This can lead to temporary changes in skin color and texture, often resolving on its own with time and reduced activity. However, if the discoloration persists or is accompanied by pain, swelling, or other symptoms, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation.

The pulling down of the foreskin (包皮) that you mentioned could be a result of several factors. If you are experiencing a tight foreskin (phimosis), it can sometimes be exacerbated by frequent sexual activity, leading to discomfort or changes in how the foreskin retracts. In some cases, aggressive sexual activity can lead to micro-tears in the skin, which may cause inflammation or scarring, potentially affecting the elasticity of the foreskin.

To address these concerns, here are some recommendations:
1. Gentle Care: Ensure that you are practicing gentle hygiene and care for the area. Avoid harsh soaps or products that could irritate the sensitive skin of the penis. Instead, use mild, unscented cleansers and ensure that the area is kept clean and dry.

2. Moisturization: If you notice dryness or irritation, consider using a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer designed for sensitive skin. This can help maintain skin hydration and prevent further irritation.

3. Reduce Friction: If you are experiencing discomfort during sexual activity, consider using a water-based lubricant. This can help reduce friction and prevent irritation or trauma to the skin.

4. Monitor Symptoms: Keep an eye on the symptoms you are experiencing. If the discoloration, discomfort, or changes in the foreskin do not improve with conservative measures, or if you develop additional symptoms such as pain, swelling, or discharge, it is important to seek medical attention.

5. Consult a Specialist: If you have ongoing concerns about the changes in your penile skin or if you suspect a condition such as phimosis, it is advisable to consult a urologist or dermatologist. They can provide a thorough examination and may recommend treatments such as topical steroids for inflammation or, in some cases, surgical options if necessary.

In summary, while some changes in penile skin can be attributed to normal variations or the effects of sexual activity, persistent or concerning symptoms should not be ignored. Taking proactive steps to care for the area and seeking professional advice when needed can help ensure your sexual health and overall well-being.
