That's strange?
I have a few questions for the doctor.
1.
Why do I see some transparent, thread-like substances in my semen that look like strands of vermicelli? Is this normal?
2.
I have developed small, white, blister-like bumps at the tip of my foreskin, and there are quite a few of them.
They have been present for a long time, and recently I have noticed a few small, fleshy growths that resemble polyps.
Additionally, there seem to be 2 or 3 small bumps at the urethral opening of the glans, but I'm not sure if they were always there.
What could be causing this? I have phimosis and often masturbate, sometimes almost once a day.
Could this be related to the issues I am experiencing? I have not engaged in any sexual activities outside of masturbation.
3.
When I am erect, my glans is completely covered, and the foreskin is quite tight.
I can only see a little bit of the glans, and I cannot retract it.
During urination, the foreskin sometimes covers the glans, making it feel like I am blowing up a balloon, which obstructs the flow.
This situation is affecting my normal urination, and there is a strong odor associated with it.
Is this impacting my daily life? Does health insurance cover circumcision? Also, will there be any impact on my daily activities after the procedure, as I still need to work?
I appreciate your help in answering these questions.
Thank you!

Your description is quite vivid; semen resembles a viscous fluid that contains some substances similar to "mung bean noodles," but it will liquefy after a period of time, which is normal.
As for the condition of the glans and foreskin, it is likely "phimosis." Please consult a urologist for an examination, as you may need a circumcision.

When addressing urological concerns, it is essential to understand that various symptoms can arise from different underlying conditions. Let's break down your questions and provide clarity on each issue.
1. Transparent String-like Structures in Semen: The presence of transparent, string-like structures in your semen can be concerning, but it is not uncommon. These structures may be mucus strands or remnants of dead sperm. Mucus is a normal component of semen, and variations in its appearance can occur due to hydration levels, diet, or even sexual activity. If the appearance of these strands is consistent and not accompanied by pain, discomfort, or other unusual symptoms, it is likely not a cause for alarm. However, if you notice changes in color, consistency, or if you experience pain during ejaculation, it would be advisable to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.
2. White Bumps on the Glans and Foreskin: The small white bumps you describe on the tip of your penis and the foreskin could be a variety of things, including pearly penile papules, which are harmless and common. However, if they have changed in appearance or if you have developed new growths that resemble skin tags, it is essential to have these evaluated by a urologist. Conditions such as genital warts or other infections could also present with similar symptoms, especially if you have a history of phimosis (tight foreskin) and frequent masturbation. Phimosis can lead to hygiene issues, which may contribute to irritation or infection, potentially causing the bumps you are observing.
3. Phimosis and Urination Issues: Phimosis can indeed affect urination and sexual function. When the foreskin is too tight, it can obstruct the flow of urine, leading to difficulty and discomfort. The fact that you experience a strong odor may indicate a buildup of smegma (a combination of dead skin cells and oils) under the foreskin, which can occur when proper hygiene is not maintained due to the tightness of the foreskin. Circumcision is a common solution for phimosis and can alleviate these issues. In many healthcare systems, circumcision is covered by insurance, especially if it is deemed medically necessary due to recurrent infections or significant discomfort.
Post-operative recovery from circumcision typically involves some discomfort, but most individuals can return to normal activities within a week or two. It is crucial to follow your doctor's post-operative care instructions to ensure proper healing and minimize complications.
In summary, your symptoms warrant a thorough evaluation by a urologist. They can provide a definitive diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment options based on your specific condition. Maintaining good hygiene, especially with phimosis, is vital to prevent infections and other complications. If you have concerns about the cost of circumcision or recovery time, discussing these with your healthcare provider can help you make an informed decision.
